Best nite in Rhody hoops in a very long time, the Hurley stamp of branding the program will take notice around the college hoop world....felt good for lots of AA staff today, a rare football win and this win over Nebraska. Great crowd, great buzz, we need to keep this MO up....best part of the nite was standing next to Coach Penders, now the fan, taking in and talking about the action down the stretch.......he kept yelling positive things to EC.....Has the sleeping giant been awaken??......

What an atmosphere! Hurley said there were 2600 students there, which is outstanding! Let's hope it's not a one-shot deal. These guys work so hard, they deserve the support of their fellow students.

Just came back from the game. I've been to a lot of games at Keaney, the shitty Civic Center and the Ryan Center and this was one of the best atmospheres I've experienced! These guys continued to fight through some tough shooting, but clamped down on defense. Congrats to all!! Beat Kansas!!

Electric win... 45 minute ride home much more fun with a win like that and being able to actually hear the post game show on real radio this year.. No negatives for this one.... huge, gritty win!!

I love to admit when I was wrong. I was SO wrong about the students. They were awesome. We don't win this game without them. I'm sure everyone has already posted details, so I'll just say a few things. This team plays hard. This team plays defense. And this team rebounds. The offense is a work in progress, but will improve as it did last year as the season went on. What a win!

Oh what a night!

I almost jumped over the railing with some of the calls, but we persevered through horrible shooting, with great rebounding, and tough D. I even got my wife to stand. A great night up in 306.

A few more things...you've got to give Jarelle credit, 8 points and 5 rebounds in 10 minutes. That's real production off of the bench. Hassan was a monster around the basket, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. I'd like to see Watson get more minutes. He does some nice things out there. I think he'll be an important contributor off the bench as the season goes on. I like the way the offense runs when the ball is in Garrett's hands, some really nice passes and 0 turnovers. EC needs to stop yo-yoing the ball. But he's our best player and came up big when it counted. 2 huge 3s by Jared early in the OT.

Seriously can we talk about those Terrell 3's, now that I'm finally done freaking out over this win. Those were so huge and took some real "guts" after missing a few earlier. This kid is going to be so fun to watch and is already becoming a fan favorite.

What a game. When our skill matches our heart and guts, watch out. The refs did their best to keep Nebraska in it in overtime. Some of the worst offensive foul calls on Rhody I have ever seen. And then follow that up two non-calls on blatant charges in the same possession by the Cornhuskers made me revert to 20 years ago college me. That and TJ getting closelined.

Ok, before I say anything, ESPN has the box score from the game years ago, where Nebraska
won by 20.
I saw our leading scorer was listed as Orion Outerbridge. WTF?
That crowd was the loudest I've experienced since Keaney.
I don't have much voice left, but I was happy to be there.
I thought Hassan was a tower of strength underneath on defense.
Some of the worst calls in the history of basketball
EC took over the game in the second half, and Terrell did the same
with a fearless OT.
Reischel kept us in the first half with some big rebounds.
Hate to say it, but if we could shoot free throws, we win going away in regulation.
This was the year where Dan had to prove he can coach the kids he's brought in,
So far, so good.
We still have no interior offense, I liked what I saw of Watson, and I wish he'd
get more minutes.
Well we've finally gotten the 0 for this century of not beating a top 25 team,
off our backs.
Congrats to Dan and this gritty team.
Everyone did us long suffering Rhody Ram fans, proud!

Great win - hope we can bring the momentum into the Kansas game. Can't wait 'till Turkey day.

Any ideas why Watson doesn't play more? I just don't get it, he looks good when he's in there.

Agree EC forces it too much, need to work on that. The good news is that isn't our best effort and we still won. Will love watching this team mature.

I think his free throw shooting is hurting his playing time, teams will start fouling as he goes to shoot and let him brick 2 free throws

We shot 21-33 from the line. It seemed worse than that. That's 63%. It's still not good, but it's not as bad as I thought it was.
