Alexis Reyes 6'5" G was at the Davidson game sitting first row being the URI Bench. He came in with and sat with Terrance Clark. Couple of outstanding 2021 players. Both are easily their listed heights. Both were very interested in the game and what a great exhibition URI put on and great attendance and fan enthusiasm to boot.

I posted this somewhere else, so I'll repost it here.

I guess this can be moved to the recruiting section. Anyway, at NPSI last week, I was sitting right behind Todd Quarles, the Expressions coach. He was talking about Dan and when he was recruiting Jared. He said Dan told him what plans he had for Jared and what kind of player Dan would make him. Quarles said Dan has done exactly what he said he would do with Jared. He's very impressed with Dan. Our connection with Expressions is getting very strong, with Ty and now Quarles. I don't think it's outrageous to think we might have a shot at Terrance Clarke. He could end up being the highest rated player to come here since Lamar. Expressions is really loading up again since losing Jared and Abu 4 years ago. What a great connection to have now.

9th grader. Not as spectacular as Clarke, but already has very good skills. Project his development 3 years from now.

And he plays for Expressions. He was at the Ryan Center last year with Terrence Clarke.

That's good for us in a way. I'm sure he must have noticed how lame the atmosphere was compared to when he was on an unofficial last year at the Ryan Center for the game

He probably took more notice on how awful we looked and wondered where we might stand in a couple years

I don’t think this helps Bryant land a 4 star recruit.

Bryant coach thinks offering early brings him value. Last year he was making offers to 8th and 9th graders.
It’s a waste of time.

Cox’s early relationship with Harris doesn’t seem like a waste of time.

URI didn’t offer Harris in 8th or 9th grade.
Do you think Grasso has relationships with the 40+ recruits he offered the other day?
He doesn’t have a relationship with the 8th graders he offered either.

i don't have a problem making offers to an 8th grader like Chance Stephens where there is obviously a relationship and think that getting early on kids that you know does help, but agree that it shouldn't be a common practice . But I was cracking up the morning of June 15th when the first 40 offers where from Bryant - I really don't understand the logic of doing that.

It worked well for him at Iona 😁.

Just walk this back for a student who has repeated a grade:
Rising Sr 17 yrs old
Rising Jr 16 yrs old
Rising Soph 15 yrs old
Rising Fr 14 years old
During 8th grade 13 years old

So he is offering 13 year olds.

We have been on Reyes forever it seems. I think ty was the lead originally. Seems power 5 bound? But would be nice to get lucky.

I don’t think he is P5 bound. Of the two Cushing Guards, Reyes is the more realistic target for Rhody.

Perfect place for him to be Friday was in the Ryan Center then. If watching our Rams manhandle PC in front of a packed Blue Wave at the b-e-a-u-tiful Ryan Center didnt make him want to commit, I'm not sure what will.

Great they were there but it was really a group from Cushing Academy going to the game. They played at the Prep Showcase in Barrington earlier in the day.

Reyes was also at the Manhattan game so he has seen complete opposites of a Ryan Center crowd.

Another Cox recruit who didn't work out.
