Re: '18 GA SF - KJ Buffen (Offer)
Man, ARD and Cox are busy guys........Dan too of course.
Definitely impressed with all of the contacts and offers being made...some really good prospects, most much higher rated than the staff was offering just a couple of years ago.....
Now....how about some results! Usually summers are pretty sleepy when it comes to the board....but with the assistant situation and the importance of recruiting for 2018......this summer will be much more interesting.

He plays on the same Nike EYBL Team Florida as 2018 PG Serrel Smith, who URI has offered.

I'm sure Boswell has been very busy also......there's no meaning there.
Only 3 staff members can recruit at the same time I think....but they are all putting in a ton of work for sure.

KJ helped his team to a big win in the "play-in" game of the Peach Jam EYBL Field of 24. Nike Team Florida defeated Team Final (PA) 82-77. Buffen had 8 points and 7 rebounds in the victory today. 4-4 FT, 2-4 FG, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 TO
Nike Team Florida is now guaranteed to play at least 5 games in the Tournament, getting to play in front of all of the top D1 Coaches in the country

To some extent yes, but less than I knew last year or the year prior.Billyboy78 wrote:Ramster, do you know who our coaches are watching this week?
I also track guys who may might drop in terms of our interest level, and/or theirs, but still have an offer from us. Until they actually commit to another team I continue to follow them, may not always make sense, but I do it anyway.
Our staff often keeps interests quiet too as evidenced by some of the commitments we have gotten in the past couple of years. That's ok because you need to have some poker capabilities too.
This is the biggest week of the year for observing prospects in Nike EYBL, Adidas Gauntlet................very exciting time for High School / AAU fans.

So who are Dan's main targets in the 18' class? Who is he specifically watching this week?ramster wrote:To some extent yes, but less than I knew last year or the year prior.Billyboy78 wrote:Ramster, do you know who our coaches are watching this week?

These could be some of the players the staff watched this past week, among many others. This is the Evaluation Period for Coaches and Players. Their Main Targets may very well change over the course of the Evaluation Period. Some players did not perform up to expectations while other players exceeded expectations.CT Rhody wrote:So who are Dan's main targets in the 18' class? Always interesting when the top talent in the AAU goes up against one another - tends to provide a separation from among the talent
Las Vegas is coming up which is a big Tournament. July is a great month.
Visits increase once School Starts, Football Games take place to excite Basketball Players. I'd guess 2 to 3 players commit by the November Signing Day.
