Welcome Brendan! And completion of a dream class. Never thought after 40 Years of following Rhody I could be this excited. Congratulations to staff also for their diligent work and sincerity to players they recruited.

Exactly. And the 5 star scores the highest, 4 star next, of course and 3 star next. 1 star and 2 star do not get included.

Note to Bill Koch--there is nothing to argue about in ranking this URI recruiting class to any other one in the history of the school. After following bball at URI for over 50 years I can firmly state that this class is the BEST!

Right I get all that. I guess I could have said what I said more clearly. They haven't rated Harris yet. He has no rating and no ranking. They've created a page for him. When the next rankings update comes out, he will be ranked, probably as a mid-level three star with a score in the high 80s. So when that happens, the class's ranking will improve.

Class rankings will change once more guys commit...so too early to say where we will land. But he could have said "URI locks up highest rated recruiting class ever with Brendan Adams commitment"

For sure it will be Top 25, just a matter of where.
Koch is saying that VCU's 2015 class was ranked 24th nationally, and that was the highest rated A10 class in modern era.
We will beat that for sure.

That can change in 1 hour and it is from 247. Not exactly well known in the general public.
It will change when the undeclared Top 100 players commit.
Typically recruiting class rating is stated after the recruits sign their National Letter of Intent in November.
Let’s just enjoy this instead of complaining about headlines in ProJo.

I don't know how often we have to repeat this ... reporters don't write the headlines. Also, there's a space limitation. Also, it's not the projo's job to put asses in the seats.

To put some perspective around the current recruiting class rating:
1) 22 out of Top 50 recruits haven’t declared - including 15 five stars
2) 37 out of Top 100 recruits haven’t declared - 15 five stars & 22 four stars
The higher recruits (4 & 5 star) carry way more weight in class ratings than 3 stars.

I did not think the first couple of lines from the ProJo article were all that lame:
