So can anyone who plays high school basketball be nominated? I'm wondering how a guy like Kyle Cardaci (random name I picked in the list) who doesn't even appear to have any scholarship offers is on this list over Adams or Cole Swider.

and I noticed 5 players from Northfield Mount Herman - the whole team?

First name I looked for on the list was Swider and was surprised not to see it

Yeah i don't understand how Cole isn't on this list, he is a top 50 talent going to Villanova. also, i think its a typo but under massachusetts you have hannah chuck and then chuck hannah. I actually looked up this kids name and he's ranked 14th in NE, committed to Elon. Not to pick on this kid but Dana is ranked higher than him in NE, same could be said nationally for Brendan Adams. Love that Jermaine is on the list, its well \deserved, but who the fuck came up with putting some of these kids on here

I was curious, so did a little digging on how one gets nominated for this, and found this. So maybe some schools just don't take part in the nomination process for whatever reason? And it also sounds like you can literally nominate anybody.

We need your help to ensure the nation's top high school players are nominated. Being named a McDonald's All American Nominee is an impressive honor; so if you have a deserving star senior player, please nominate her/him.

To assist you with the process, an online nomination form is available for those who are authorized to nominate players. As a reminder, the following people may nominate players:

High school principal
High school athletic director
High school coach
Member of the McDonald's All American Games Selection Committee

Yea so it doesn’t seem like a nomination means much, hopefully Jermaine gets picked as one of the final 24! Have we ever had any other McDonald’s all Americans besides Lamar?

Some of his teams’ games must be the most difficult to watch and foul-filled ones ever, between how often Jermaine seems to be in foul trouble/foul out and how many free throws he shoots. Love to see a free throw rate like that in a big, though.

Excerpt from an Article on 247 sports:
#1 6'9" 2018 F Jermaine Harris is a fantastic all around player who can play 3 thru 5. He is relentless on the glass & can protect the rim Jermaine plays with a very high motor & IQ. He can shoot 3 pointers off the dribble, & go coast to coast & finish. Jeramine has great fundamentals & an array of low post moves which include drop steps, jump hooks, up & unders, reverse lay-ins, spins & more. On his jump hooks & put backs Jermaine executes his moves from the shoulders up & releases the ball very high utilizing his great wingspan. Jermaine is a lock for my 1st team all DC DMV Team & I rate him a top 50 player nationally.

You have to love reading "high motor and IQ" -- which most articles on him tend to say. Also his ability to stretch from 3 to 5 speaks to his ball skills, which is rare for a freshman big entering the A10 (usually raw on offensive side). He sounds a lot like a Justin Tillman type. Hope he develops faster.

From his coach....
“I don’t think he his ceiling has hit by a long shot, 3-4 years no telling where the kid is going to be “

Great interview

Love seeing him in that long sleeve URI shirt

I have watched this video many times and never get tired of it -amazing job by Hurley and staff to get Harris to URI

Nice find by Adam to post it as quickly as he did

For sure a win-win for URI and for Jermaine. Just amazing the programs we won out over to have Harris choose us
Plus you have Stanford Robinson from the same area - sure he is graduation but Stan is still a home state connection
Jeff Dowtin also
Brendan Adams also
David Cox also

Just fantastic

I met Jermaine tonight....very pleasant and polite.....

I pointed out Kenny Green to him and asked if he knew who he was.....he did not.....I told him he should aspire to be like Kenny.....

...I then brought him over to meet Kenny....I left them chatting for awhile.....

...I told them both they were part of a chain......one that links all Rams for all time....
