3 posters would come on and say that it didn't count because the path was too easy, or we got lucky, or the team got hot in spite of the coach - and my hands would go bloody berating them.

Or GBG would come on and proclaim that we lost the final four game because Dan doesn't have a geriatric on the end of the bench to help him coach.

I think we need another tailgate prior to a game this year? I mean, what school tailgates for a basketball game?

Come on Iggy. Just last year Umass got the tandem out of Louisiana. Happens often.

Higher levels happens every year from Oden and Conley to Tatum and Giles.

Jabari Parker and the Minnesota point guard, forget his name.
Close but it's was Okafor and Tyus Jones, not Parker and Jones

I really don't hate the idea - maybe for a February Friday night ESPN game? I have a spot in the Ryan Center lot so that could actually work out great.

Just keep the grey goose away from me/BPR. Wifey drew a hard line at me taking my shirt off and trying to make a Valpo fan a corpse in 205 before 1130am.

Ppl are very confident on this board and I blindly put my faith in that. Pretty excited about this class and especially Harris.

But Jim L in Coral Gables has been on a tear in recruiting and could win the ACC this year. IDK why he couldn't swoop in.

He took some studs out of the DMV area last year.

It happens literally all the time. I'm not saying he won't commit to WVU, but the pic has nothing to do with it. Guys post pictures of themselves with coaches, with players, in uniforms, on campus, etc., on every visit. The guys we tend to recruit aren't always the types whose recruitment is super high profile, and our staff seems to prefer to keep stuff quiet, but in big-time recruiting guys post pics and praise of coaches and programs only to commit elsewhere all the time. IA pic online isn't good or bad, it's nothing.

Echoing rambone's post, northernram has been bretty solid with his intel. Also WVU has been considered the "leader" since late may/early june.

I think we are still very much in it for JH, and with the latest momentum and Amir, Tyrese, and Dana recruiting hard for Harris, i think we are still looking like a good shot. I think it will be down to WVU, Rhody, and Maryland

All I really want right now is this week to be quite till Friday when Mr Harris arrives!

Honest question, but who has considered WVU the leader? Is it just recruiting sites that default to making P5 schools the leader?

You guys ever think that maybe he just wants to experience the process?

A high school recruit has 1 time in his life to go and check out a whole bunch of college campuses and programs, see all the cool behind the scenes stuff. I mean even if you know you want to go play for someone or somewhere, you wouldn't be souped to meet another coach and have dinner with them?

I trust the info on here, but also I trust Dan. Say info is wrong on Harris leaning towards us. Obviously I want him but do you think Dan will take a trash player just to fill a spot? We're way past that as a program.

Harris would be fantastic but let's not act like the program stops moving forward if he doesn't commit.

Of course Blue Man......but a player like Harris is what we need to be REALLY good, not just A10 good.

And unless there's someone else like him out there [besides Doherty] that we are recruiting, he's our best shot to land a huge impact big man.

The last piece of the puzzle imo.......

A lot of stock being put into 1 kid who 99.9% of people here have never seen play 10 seconds of ball with their own 2 eyes.
Yes we need impact big men to take the next step in march, however I won't put all of that on the ability to land 1 kid that we have stiff competition for.

I would love to see both Harris and Doherty - unless one of the guys on the team now steps up really big this year, our front court is Cyril and some borderline A10 players. With both these guys and Cyril and Tate the front court would be Dominant in the A10 and we still have enough guard depth.
