Great to hear! This class will have big shoes to fill after this current class graduates but hopefully they'll be able to ease their way in.

OMG. Are you kidding me? Dana, you def deserve it!!! Also Amir Harris is now a 3* when he was unranked. So much for the thought that when you commit to RHODY, your ranking goes down.

I've had this same thought. Feels like a glue guy and potential captain. All our commits seem excited to be coming here but he's next level

I have a feeling this kid is going to be a great player here.

Alum Dana Tate is a matchup nightmare. The URI commit is primed for a big senior year.

I think MacDuffie is playing at St. Andrews in Barrington in December. I'll have to catch that game to watch Dana.

Rhode Island sits with the best mid-major class in America this fall thanks in part to the signing of Tate. On Sunday, the 6-foot-7 pitbull of a prospect unleashed his full arsenal on his opposition highlighted by rim-rattling dunks and powerful second-chance putbacks. Dan Hurley has an instant punch of toughness and half-court scoring with the MacDuffie School product.

This kid's game feels like a real throw-back player...good fundamentals, good ball skills, does a little bit of everything.
With limited tape he feels like a more talented version of Andre Samuel. Similar size and game.

For anyone interested, Dana Tate, Ismael Massoud and their MacDuffie teammates will be playing at the St. Andrews holiday classic next Friday, the 15th, in Barrington .They will be taking on Tilton, led by Marcus and Max Zegarowski. Should be an outstanding high school game and an outstanding tournament. MacDuffie will also be playing at St. Andrews in February against Swider, Goodine, etc.

I'm planning on going to watch Dana play tonight. We'll see what this pain in the ass snow does to the roads. If I go, I'll give a report. I'll be focusing on Dana but I'm also interested in watching Massoud and Bouknight. They're playing Tilton with the Zegarowski brothers so it should be fun.

Saw Dana play last night. He had a tough game. He played well at times. He plays hard and is strong taking it to the basket. He had a lot of turnovers, some bad decisions, especially on some passes. His coach yelled at him about being more aware on the court. But, he'll be fine. He's a big strong kid and seems very coachable. He will correct his mistakes. His team, MacDuffie, beat Tilton with a 3 point basket by Massoud (who we are recruiting). He is pretty impressive. The same height as Dana, but can play the 2 or the 3. Very long arms. Handles the ball well, good passer. Has a funny looking shot but it goes in. Bouknight (who we are recruiting) is impressive too. Very athletic with good speed and quickness and can really jump. When I first saw him, I didn't think anything special. Then during warmups, he's doing some crazy dunks. He can really shoot it too. The best player on the floor by a pretty wide margin was Marcus Zegarowski. Too bad we couldn't get him. He is REALLY good and will be a star in college. Dan, Ty and Tom Moore were all there.
