He is from Nigeria as are several of his teammates.
He scored 18 points as a junior against Oak Hill Academy at Mouth of Wilson last November.

Another Site is EYBL. Has Stats for all games for all 4 sessions.
Southern Stampede finished 3-14 so unfortunately Igbanu will not be going to the Championship Round of 24 Teams where Hurley will be sure to be in attendance in July.

Covenant Christian (GA) post Martins Igbanu is a big and strong developing for power forward prospect with a high ceiling. He’s still raw and inexperienced, but shows flashes of becoming a dominant force in time. He does a good job of rebounding inside and outside of his area. Igbanu will attract the attention of many high major programs this season

Interesting that they have two guys who play the same position on campus at the same time, in Igbanu and Layssard. Didn't they do this before, and the two recruits worked out against each other? I can't remember who it was, but I swear I remember that.

This seems different. They'd take either or both of Layssard and Igbanu. Berry was a legit target, Ba was very much less so. Akele, whose visit was never officially announced beforehand, was most important that weekend, and their approach worked.

Very interesting indeed

Layssard comes from Louisiana and has a solid connection with Christion Thompson also from Louisiana
Igbanu is originally from Nigeria...........did he make a good connection with Iffy on the visit? and of course the rest of the team?

Just amazing the level of talent we are associated with and the direction this program continues to move in - regardless of whether Igbanu or Marfo pick URI we are certainly very much in the hunt for top notch players - early in the recruiting cycle too

Nope. I'm a big fan of Marfo personally from the tape.

It is funny that all these guys would break this board 4 years ago, but now its come to this. Where you miss and if it wasn't the guy you favored, then you take a breath.

They were certainly interested in Igbanu- you don't get to the point of an official if you're not, but they were very happy with the Layssard verbal.

As for Igbanu, I have respect for players who find a situation that's good for them and commit to it. Wish him well.

Like was already said, if Igbanu committed, that could mean a tricky situation with Langevine and especially Marfo.

Now they will both visit I would think. Hey you can never have enough good bigs. :P

I'm okay with this decision as well. Good luck to him at Tulsa.

This leaves the door open for Langevine, who I do hope chooses URI, and hopefully for Marfo as well.

What is this season's slogan... #HUNT

Of the ones who seem to be closer, this would have been
the one I'd have had last.
Not sour grapes, but the 185lbs. tells me he's not close to being
an A-10 inside player.
Geez, our 2 guard goes 225lbs.
I'm betting Langevine will be the next to commit.

From everything I see & read I'd second your bet Rod. He almost seems to have already made his decision. But recruiting takes strange twists & turns.

In the end, Langevine may be the better PF. I hope his official visit goes well and we get a commitment from him.

More and more I don't see a spot for Leroy Butts, especially if we were fortunate enough to land Marfo, whom we've been recruiting for a long time.

Three very good bigs and the best available PG would be a great class.

Igbanu is more of a 3/4, his listing of 185 is certainly old. He's at least 225 which puts his build very similar to Hassan's right now. I don't think there is much difference in Langevine or Igbanu in terms of post play right now. Either one would do well under ARD's tutelage. But with Akele here I don't think we REALLY need another 3/4 hybrid. That being said I wouldn't be surprised to see Langevine commit this weekend.
