Billy, I think it is the same guy, just a typo on the tweet by Future 150. I tweeted them, but they have not responded so far.

Quade Green is ranked #43 in ESPN's list of '17 recruits, 4 stars, an 89 grade. And you can add an offer from Louisville to the ones from above.

Counterpoint - He can actually hit a 3 and score the ball.
I haven’t watched a lot of Kentucky so I’m a prisoner of the stat sheet, but if there is interest from Green, I would definitely take a shot on this guy.

Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
An example mid majors should use about P5s having no loyalty. They recruit over a 5 star who started as a freshmen.
From ESPN.com article:
Green started 13 games as a freshman, playing more than 25 minutes per game. He averaged 9.3 points and 2.7 assists in helping lead the Wildcats to the Sweet 16. However, Calipari brought in five-star point guards Immanuel Quickley and Ashton Hagans this season, and Green has been relegated to playing behind the two freshmen or moving off the ball.
Green was unhappy with his new role, sources told ESPN. He's playing just 17.8 minutes per game despite shooting 42.3 percent from 3-point range.

Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
We could sure use one who can shoot the 3 at 42.3%...…
Imagine our frontcourt with a little more experience from Harris and co. and guards who can shoot the 3 opening things up down low for them.

Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
Our defense can cover his offense. If that is an issue. Hell, we had Jimmy Baron for 4 years who couldn't play a lick of defense but was a great offensive player.

His final choice was between Kentucky and Syracuse. His only other visit was Villanova. Some current articles mention Syracuse, Washington (Syracuse assistant is now there) and LaSalle (Ashley Howard recruited him when he was at Nova).theblueram wrote: ↑5 years ago We offered Quade 4 years ago. Not sure who was on him. But if he's got game bring it on. Schollie would open for sure.
His other offers included many of the top programs - Duke, Kansas, Mich State, Louisville, Arizona, ND.
He is out of our league.

Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
You think Duke or Kansas is taking a transfer to start over their 1 and done's? Not likely. His top school aspirations are done.Rhody83 wrote: ↑5 years agoHis final choice was between Kentucky and Syracuse. His only other visit was Villanova. The point was that he is going to transfer to a top 20 program (P5 or BE).theblueram wrote: ↑5 years agoYou think Duke or Kansas is taking a transfer to start over their 1 and done's? Not likely. Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
His HS coach isn’t really breaking any news, of course there will be tons of interest in a 5 star player transferring from Kentucky.
It will be interesting to see what his list of schools looks like. I could absolutely see mid majors in the mix since he clearly prioritizes playing time.
I have no delusions that URI will land the kid but I certainly hope Cox is making every effort to get Rhody in the mix.

Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
If he goes to another P5, or a Villanova/high-end BE team I'd be somewhat surprised. How the old saying goes, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...
History could very well repeat itself if he trusts another "one and done" coach.

Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
I think posters are assuming there is an issue. He played 25 minutes a game and avg 9 points as a Fr for Kentucky. This year he is avg 8 points. Kentucky recruits lottery picks. He got recruited over at the basketball factory. Btw, he is only 6’0”. Not exactly NBA height.
Someone mentioned Fatts reaching out to Green. Green is leaving Kentucky because he wants to play PG only. Why would Fatts want him to come to URI?

Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
I smell a contest here predicting his landing spot - Ace probably has a huge edge, but it will still be fun.
I'm going to go on record with Temple as my guess.
A school at the right level, near home with a graduating PG (Shizz) clearing PT.
(things I don't know - did he want to commit away from home on purpose? Does he get along with the guys on the roster - many of which he probably knows, etc.)

Re: '17 PA PG Quade Green
For many reasons he isn’t coming to URI, but in terms of Fatts recruiting him his percentage on getting prospects to URI (Bishop and McLeod) is even less than his 3 pt percentage

I don't think Fatts is going to actively recruit anybody , let alone
some one to replace him in the starting line-up!!
He is not coming to URI and probably not to the A10. My guess is most likely
a P5 or BE school .
Kentucky and Duke are not your typical P5 schools . They both recruit 1 and done's first and
if they can't find one of those they "SETTLE" for a run of the mil 5 star or god forbid a highly ranked 4*.
He could probably go to many P5 schools and get plenty of playing time.
