As much as I admire Preston Murphy, he had a helluva lot more misses than hits in Michigan. Involved with Players X, Y, and Z, yes, but snagging everyone, cherry-picking…….no. Not even Tom Izzo or JB can.
Izzo actually landed a top five center. last week.

I think snidely is taking a slap at Murphy's admirers (us) and I take it in good humor. We know Murphy is a great recruiter and we also know he is not the end all, while I love PM, I say forget BC, right now and for the foreseeable future I have to believe URI men's BB is in better shape than BC's, it's obvious that DH is an excellent recruiter. TP is just giving us a little jab, a little I told you so, because of course he read us wrong originally as so often happens.
I love Preston. No slap at him intended at all. RR is correct that it was intended as a little, friendly baby jab at some posters here (not even sure which ones, tbh) that made it seem like we'd never get another recruit after Preston left. Snide implies some malicious intent, of which there is none here. Just teasing good-naturedly.
