The 6-foot-1 guard is explosive in every sense of the word. He’s a quick leaper who gets his head on the rim before most others get off the ground and differentiates himself from other above-the-rim players because he can be a long jumper and high jumper alike. He was all over the rim throughout the week and punctuated his performance with a good showing in the camp’s all-star game. The rising junior is transferring to the MacDuffie (Massachusetts) School next season and recently picked up his first high-major offer from Rutgers."

Well, it's rather simple: McLean sees a glut of guards at URI, a plethora of offers to guards in his Class of '16, and competition for playing time. Why not pledge somewhere else and have an easier go of it? It's just logical. This will be repeated over-and-over through the Fall. Perhaps the best of them all will rise to the challenge. Time will tell.
