Watson and Oneykaba are undersized post players. That ;eaves Hare after this season.
I can't think of any really good team that didn't have post presence.

The only saving grace, Rod, is there is not a lot of super centers in the A-10, or college ball at all......

I am sure the staff would love a quality 3/4 star big, but if there isn't one to be had then stand down and see what happens in the Spring
you can win in the A10 and beyond with Hare, Martin, Watson and Iffy in this day and age. Also would be adding Butts to that next season. From my sources Poyser is a stud and you take him if he wants to come here.

I would be shocked if EC left after this season. I think he plays 3 here, at least.

TP, regarding the profile, he spells his name Christion, with an 'o'.
Probably just a simple mistake due to catching up

Once again, hyper accurate reporting by McNamara. Quick check of half dozen scouting services list Christion at 6' 4". Kevie insists on 6'3. Lame and lazy as usual.

Ah ok. Must have autocorrected then, because I know how to spell his name (as evidenced by the half dozen or so times I've spelled it correctly elsewhere in the thread.)

Was his Dad here, too? I've only heard about (and seen pictures) of his Mom visiting.

From Kevie's "article," "On Sunday night, Thompson, a 6-foot-3 guard from Madison Prep in Baton Rouge, verbally committed to play for Dan Hurley and the URI Rams. Thompson and his father, a former LSU football player, spent the weekend at URI on an official campus visit."

Yeah why wouldn't Kevin mention he was here with both parents? Koch didn't mention his dad being there did he?

So, in summation, our big hope for having a real shooter,
got 19 points in two high school games.
I'm underwhelmed.

I thought that too.

I always make private jokes to myself when Matt Butler gets on the floor. Like the staff waited for Matt Butler to be delivered and when he got here his legs were not as advertised. His legs are just so skinny and he moves so gingerly. Can't be what they bought in the store could it?

Butler was a late pickup, the best they could get at the time I guess.

I doubt he'll see 4 years here.

This Thompson kid hopefully has more upside.

Not every recruit Dan brings in will be a home run. That's already obvious.

You guys can't make assumptions about high school box scores if you don't see the games or aren't familiar with the team and the league. There are lots of reasons a guy's production might not jump off the page at that level.

Thanks Ace,
Good to see Christion settling in on his new team, Madison Prep Chargers.
In this game, Madison Prep beat an undefeated team Oauchita Parrish that was 5-0.
Madison Prep's Premier Player is Brandon Sampson, Top 50 Player not yet signed. So quite an achievement for Christion to receive the MVP.

I was stunned to see people doubting this kid based on a couple high school box scores (that is like judging a team off of scrimmages you don't see!). One of the things this staff does best is identify talent, and I'm told they think they "stole" him. I would be shocked if this kid ends up not being a contributor.

Madison prep crushed Tara to move on to the championship game. Nice comment from the HC following last night's game referencing Christion.

"That's what we're trying to establish," Jones said. "Last year we were kind of a one-man team. This year we're trying to be more of a team. Christion has come in and done a fabulous job for us.

DON'T. MOCK. THE. BUNNIES!!!

Tim: Follow. But! Follow only if ye be men of valor! For the entrance to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel, that no man yet has fought with it... and lived! BONES of full fifty men lie *strewn* about its lair! So! Brave knights! If you do doubt your courage or your strength, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth...
[Makes fangs with his fingers and holds them in front of his mouth]
King Arthur: What an eccentric performance.
Tim: There he is!
King Arthur: Where?
Tim: There!
King Arthur: What? Behind the rabbit?
Tim: It *is* the rabbit!
King Arthur: You silly sod!
Tim: What?
King Arthur: You got us all worked up!
Tim: Well, that's no ordinary rabbit.
King Arthur: Ohh.
Tim: That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!
Sir Robin: You tit! I soiled my armor I was so scared!
Tim: Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!
Sir Galahad: Get stuffed!
Tim: He'll do you up a treat, mate.
Sir Galahad: Oh, yeah?
Sir Robin: You manky Scots git!
Tim: I'm warning you!
Sir Robin: What's he do? Nibble your bum?
Tim: He's got huge, sharp... er... He can leap about. Look at the bones!
King Arthur: Go on, Bors. Chop his head off!
Sir Bors: Right! Silly little bleeder. One rabbit stew comin' right up!
[after Bors is killed by the killer rabbit]
Tim: I *warned* you, but did you listen to me? Oh, no, you *knew*, didn't you? Oh, it's just a harmless little *bunny*, isn't it?
