Big weekend ahead with the zero gravity event at St. Andrews and with the PC game, could be a good time to get some kids on campus

If the fans want top assistants who DELIVER top players annually, WE must PAY UP. Coach Cox is in high demand and the only way we keep him around is to aggressively expand the assistant coach salary pool.

I just made a donation.

Quick question for those that have donated before - I received an error message when submitting and didn't receive a confirmation email, BUT the charge shows as pending on my credit card. I sent an email to their support team and am awaiting feedback - has this happened to anyone?

Great there were the kids from Expression at game. I hope there were some Rhody ‘19 recruits at the game last night. Also hope there are players that Dan and the assistants are going to watch today. Great time to take advantage of this high.

Have to think that there may be kids who want to come play with Fatts, Dowtin, Adams, Harris, Tate and Tyrese.....

I'm not positive, but one of the kids in that picture with Clarke looks like Ismael Massoud. He's a '19 who plays at MacDuffie with Tate. He's the top rated player in Mass in the '19 class and top 75 nationally. The reason I'm not 100% sure it's him is he didn't play for Expressions. Maybe he does now. And yes, we are recruiting him.

Can’t say for certain that Massoud was in attendance but to the the right of Terrence is Alexis Reyes, another Boston kid who is a top 100 kid in the 2020 class who plays with Terrence for Expressions.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Like I said, I wasn't sure if that was him. Hey Bos8, do you know if Clarke has any interest in us. I know it's still a couple of years away before his recruitment gets serious, but it would seem a long shot to me, considering he is one of the top players in his class.

It will take a few years, but what will be interesting is to look back at these individual rankings and see how it played out.

Harris: 72
Adams: 181
Tate: 219
Martin: 246

When programs sign guys in September/October, they’re obviously getting guys they want and value, which makes one think the staff values a few of these guys more than the guys who rank them. Fatts’ ranking was 185, so there looks to be a precedent for that.

If you look at 247's top 150 for 2019, there are 11 players that URI has been at least mentioned with.
That is significant progress

I think Rivals has a more accurate top 150 than 247 sports FYI.

I can see us waiting to see what coaching changes happen this April and target some high level kids of opt out of their LOI. Might be a great way to fill the lost scholly with a high level guard. If Lyssard ends up transferring which is possible, we would have two slots open to fill which would create flexibility between targeting both an opt out player all of a sudden available and a high level type transfer.

Love our options at this point! Dan has done an amazing job with this!

I think when the first semester ends around the country you will begin to see the flood of kids leaving schools that are not matched to their skills or delusions....then names will fly around this board....

But we don't have scholarships to offer in the second semester unless one of our guys decides to transfer.

It would be nice to get a veteran shot blocker/low post defender with that 5th schollie.
Lots of young guys playing huge minutes next year.
Need to have an 'eraser' to cover up the kids' mistakes as they learn how to defend at the college level.

Nice to see Tyrone Weeks playing well.
Tyrone's dad played at UMASS and Coached at URI
Tyrone started out playing for Pilgrim HS but since transferred to Hendricken

Last night Hendricken defeated Cranston East (70-64) with Weeks going off for 39 points and he hit 17-18 Free Throws.

He's good, but undersized for a big. I'm not sure how well his game will translate to the college game. Then again, I thought the same thing about Bonzie Jr.

John Carroll defeated Bishop Hendricken in a game in Windsor Connecticut this Saturday with John Carroll winning easily 82-53.
John Carroll is led by Montez Mathis and Immanuel Quickly. Good to see Hendricken playing teams such as these.

Immanuel Quickly is ranked #12 in ESPN Top 100 and committed to Kentucky
Montez Mathis is ranked #93 in ESPN Top 100 and committed to Rutgers

Correct, in fact I am watching John Carroll playing Hudson Catholic right now on ESPN U. Hudson Catholic leading 34-19 at the half.

Hudson Catholic has #94 Ranked ESPN Top 100 Luther Muhammed who is committed to Ohio State
Hudson Catholic has #23 Ranked ESPN Top 100 Jahvon Quinerly who is not committed yet - was committed to Arizona but we know what happened there

RJ Barrett being interviewed right now. Barrett is the #1 ESPN Player going to Duke. Fatts Russell was MVP in the Monteverde Tournament last winter when Imhotep pulled the big upset and broke Monteverde's 55 game home court winning streak. It was a huge win for Imhotep and propelled them higher in the USA Today Top 25
