"Scouting Report: Thompson has the athleticism that Painter desires to play great on-the-ball defense by frustrating dribblers with his quick feet. His good size and jumping ability help him rebound well from the 2/3 position. His outstanding length helps him block shots on the defensive end. On offense, he uses his leaping ability and quickness to make his own shot. He hit two of three 3-point shots on Wednesday night, but his identity isn’t as a shooter yet. I hate to compare him to a player of our hated rival, but he does remind me of Victor Oladipo at Indiana University."
