Enjoyed that video. Seems like he can do just about everything from distributing the ball to creating straight off the dribble and taking it in with contact and finishing above the rim.

6'2 PG Jeff Newberry of New Mexico JC has been offered by Memphis earlier today. He will be taking an official visit mid September.

he forgot us:

"I actually like going to the football games more so than the basketball games," Newberry said. "I can sit down and get a feel for campus. That way, other people are sitting there and interested in the football game rather than me being at a basketball game where they want me to do all this stuff.

"I like football a lot, and I love college football, so it's even better to be on hand and see a college football game in person."

"The three schools that have made the cut for my top three are Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and UConn.

Me and Coach Kevin Ollie (UConn) are coming to a close on a visit date in the next two days. The reason for me not visiting yet is because I choose to go home this upcoming weekend to celebrate my 21st birthday.

Me and Travis Ford (Oklahoma State) talk a lot and we are also planning on moving up the date on my visit to Oklahoma State. This is a crazy process and I feel like some of the weight is off of my shoulders with me finally being down to three schools."

I saw this too last night regarding Oklahoma State.
Having seen Mr Newberry play in the past I am not so overly disappointed that we are now in the running for this kid. He was not so highly rated coming out of HS and seems to be playing this up for all it is worth - enjoying the spotlight so to speak.
Future of Biggie Minnis, EC Mathews.........more recruiting to come....we are fine at the guard spot.
