Big guard, 6'4" 225lbs.rated 4 stars by ESPN.
Looks like Philly schools and Minnesota are in on him, plus Wagner.

Strengths:
Kohl is a strong and physical guard that is smart and knows how to play. He can handle, pass and is a excellent shooter coming off a variety of screening actions. Kohl will post smaller guards and can get to the rim and finish with touch on straight line drives.

Weaknesses:
Kohl is a big body guard that must pay attention to his weight and work to stay in shape on a year around basis. He will also need to continue to be a consistent performer all in which he is very capable.

Bottom Line:
Kohl is a smart, skill and productive guard that is strong and physical. He is a tough match up on the perimeter and is at a mid major plus prospect.

Kohl is at Coastal Academy now in Jersey. It's a basketball academy, and I think the affiliated school is Calvary Academy. Their basketball program runs out of the Hoop Group facilities, which is the organization that runs the Bob Hurley basketball camps. Kohl plays with WE R1- the same AAU team as Aflakpui, so they've seen him play a number of times. With his size, it seems like he'd be just a physical guy, but he's a very good shooter.

Here's a picture of him with Chris Alesi (the New Heights guy) at the recent Sharette Dixon Classic.

Think he could be a Jordair Jett type player on a 4 year college projection?

Yes please. Seems like a fantastic passer with good ball skills. Didn't see a ton of outside shooting in the video above, but hopefully it is as much of a strength as others say.

Kline tweets in July that URI has offered, but the player tweets in October that he got an offer. So maybe the offer in July was just one of those placeholder offers and now URI is serious?
Hurley has proven that he can help players redefine their bodies. A good match.

Scouting Report
Kohl is a big-bodied guard who can score in a a lot of different ways. He is one of those guards you love to have on your team, but hate to play against, because he plays so hard and never gives up on a play. For his size, he’s a surprisingly good athlete who has the ability to rise up and throw it down with relative ease. He is a mentally and physically tough guard, that is also in-your-face on the defensive end. For a guard he rebounds very well and has no problem pushing the ball in transition. Kohl is a decent 3-point shooter and working on being a better shooter off the dribble. He will need to transform his body a little and continue to watch his weight and get stronger. Kohl has a lot of potential to be a good college player and should be able to play in the A-10, AAC and maybe even the Big East. –April 30, 2014

Kline's tweet is from July 2013, maybe original offer was Preston. Kohl reportedly shot the ball well over the summer which led to a Temple offer. He's bounced around alot as far as high schools.

I think whoever this writer is, should get with the new reality. The AAC had the NCAA champs and the A-10 had far more NCAA invites than the NBE.
Sounds like something McNamara would write.

Minnesota, Providence, and La Salle lead at this point. All have been on him since the spring open period. URI in the mix as well.

Given the story about Coastal, it wouldn't surprise me. However, there's a link that shows they've already sent 32 kids to Div. 1 schools.
