OK, we're talking about a 5 star '14 center. Are you saying that we are involved with him, Kingston?

Re: Cliff Alexander
I've heard in passing that we were involved in recruiting
players that ,"We have no business recruiting".
That wasn't made as a negative statement, but approval that we were involved
with some special players and actually were on their list of schools.
Recruiting them and getting them, might be a different story, but
you have to love the aggressiveness of the staff.

Re: Cliff Alexander
OK, I'll guess. Cliff Alexander and Alex Foster are both from Chicago. They are good friends. They are coming here as a package deal.

We have offered come on guys do a google search. We on paper have no chance with the other teams involved especially considering our powerful neighbor to the north is listed on ESPN. But this isn't Your dads RAMS again sit back enjoy the new era of Rhody hoops

Rumor Tyus Jones and Okafor will be a package deal so why not a package deal for us?

Re: Cliff Alexander
Besides, a player on this level likely would be one and done.
I'd rather have guys who'll be here a few years.

Re: Cliff Alexander
Having JR Smith win NBA 6th Man and help NY Knicks advance past the Cs is only going to help Dan sell himself as a NBA developer to these sky high recruits.

There's a nice little collection of former St. Benedict's guys playing professionally that's well known in the world of NYC/NJ basketball. It matters.ATPTourFan wrote:Having JR Smith win NBA 6th Man and help NY Knicks advance past the Cs is only going to help Dan sell himself as a NBA developer to these sky high recruits.

Re: Cliff Alexander
I to would rather have four year guys also. But the reality is great players are one and done. If other institutions take them we should have no problem taking them.

Re: Cliff Alexander
I like that we are involved but there is no chance of URI landing this guy. After next season we might start to get more looks from players like this but not this year.

Re: Cliff Alexander
Maybe you're right, but I like the idea that Hurley isn't ruling these guys out altogether. At this point, I wouldn't rule out any possibility.Smokinjimit wrote:I like that we are involved but there is no chance of URI landing this guy. Re: Cliff Alexander
Obviously we were out on this guy a long time ago but check out Alexander's fake out. Sucks to be an Illinois fan today...

yep, that we don't need, if I was a KS fan that vid would make me tremble a bit.....
Hopefully down the road in a dance setting we get another crack at making Kansas cry on the dance floor with this kid leading the tears....

Totally looked like a mistake. He grabbed the first hat without looking, not a dick move at all.
