To be fair, he is #128 in the country and a 3* on Rivals. Sort of like Hassan Martin. You can always find an angle to sell from.

Diallo's a 3 star, 89 rating on 247sports. Decommitted from Cal after Montgomery retired. Heavily recruited by Oregon and Cal, I'd say he's a semi-big deal. Got as high as #125 on their 2014 class rankings. Either way, don't think we're getting an answer until next week. I for one, will enjoy my weekend without thinking about this ordeal for a second.

Just stopping by to quote some true things.

Hang in there, people.
Sorry, TP, but Ace is the true therapist around here.
Rereading some of the posts and it looks as if the treatment by both Ace and TP needs to be supplemented with some meds and/or second opinions.

The good news, BC is enter ing a clinical trial

FWIW, Rivals lists Diallo at 6'11" and lists offers from UCLA, USC, and Va Tech. I'm pretty confident those scholarships are no longer open, however.

But, you don't have to sign during the signing period, do you? I'm pretty sure you can still sign any time after that too.

You can enroll at any time. By not signing an LOI,
nothing is binding either way.
CFL used to bring in people during the summer.
These usually are the extreme leftovers.

Just as an aside, whatever happens in this JT thing, I honestly
think Hurley and company have done EVERYTHING possible to make it happen.
Anyone who says this is on him in any way shape or from is delusional.

But, what does that mean, really? Did he try hard? Really Hard? I'm sure he did. But, you know what trying hard gets me in my line of work? Bupkis. Almost every coaching staff in a similar situation would work their ass off. Jim Christian is. Cooley does when he is onto someone. All these guys do. From day one, I have never questioned DH and the effort he puts in. Or, his ethics. But, it is still on him whether he gets him or not. Results matter. The flip side is true. If he gets a top 75 guy late in 2014, he deserves a monster tip of the hat.

Wasn't aimed at you, GBG.
I've heard people off the board bitching about Hurley not
being able to close the deal with JT.
I can't imagine what else they want him to do?
Waterboard JT until he signs his LOI?

I agree with that. You need to view these things over at least two years. What a single 18 year old (who has already de-committed from one spot) does is anyone's guess.

He is really holding both programs hostage in a way that we really can't make significant moves on other recruits until we know his decision. I don't know what to think but just hope he makes his decision soon. The recruiting game is a nasty business. The bottom line is that JT has all the power right now. I want JT as much as anybody

As far as I'm concerned, he can wait as long as he wants. It's his right, especially after decommitting from one school already. He wants to get this one right. We have 2 schollies. We can certainly hold one open for a player of his caliber.

I said when Preston left that he was the #1 insider on our program. He doesn't have to maliciously bad mouth us. He can just outline why BC is better. Nobody more credible than him.

He's still alumni and great, but let's not assume a guy working for his livelihood won't use things to his advantage.

Our facilities are as good as BC now. Our weight room is as good as most I've seen.

Well hey...I like Preston as much as any Rhody fan... but let's not bail him out of a pickle here...He's on his own as far as we are concerned. No bail outs

Guess what? This guy is a four star 6'9" PF-C
who plays for New Hampton Prep. BABC AAU.
Let's make a package deal with Terrell and bring them
both is.
You get Gil's replacement and JT rolled into one.

Jared might be tired of package deals :) I'm just happy to see some bad news for BC. Decommits can't help their case for Terrell. I'm sure JT will see this

Who the hell said it was materializing?
The kid just came out 15 minutes ago and said he
was reopening his recruitment.
He's from Baltimore. I wonder if Dave Cox is familiar with him.
Again, he's a BABC guy.
Just seeing someone like this and Jermaine Lawrence coming into the market
today, and wonder if we could get involved?

It all depends on what he told the people involved and commitments made,;if he knows of some sleezy stuff and is putting up with it or if he is using us or for that matter using BC.

Not sure what is correct, but, on the New Hampton roster, it shows Milton, Mass as his home town. ??

You can't say that they protected her by holding the info back. You come clean as early as possible. People are too lenient with athletes, who cares???? They play sports? Bury any guy that's in that position.

Pretty sure that tweet was about the BC running back, Andre Williams, getting drafted by the Giants. Some BC fans thought he was slipping in the draft, like every other running back this year.

Archive that Preston Murphy tweet if you still considered him a "friend" of #URI basketball. The reality is there are no "friends" in the dog-eat-dog world of CBB recruiting. People are either on your team or they're not. No gray zones. #rise #URI

I hope for Terrell's sake that he is not again swayed by the allure of things such as name, facilities, and conference affiliation as he was the first time around choosing Oklahoma State. He seems comfortable with Hurley as he keeps coming back to him. Relationships are what really matters. Hurley has shown his commitment to him even after having been jilted the first time. While Terrell may like Preston, he is not the head coach that would dictate his future at BC. Hurley however is that man at URI.

It is a dog-eat-dog world, but that doesn't mean he isn't a friend of URI (depending on your definition). He doesn't work here anymore, obviously. He works for BC. So I'm not sure what you're expecting from him if you're offended by a tweet in which he is doing his job.

(P.S. I know there was some question about what his tweet means, but I think you can safely assume it was re: the commitment they just got; those coded tweets by coaches announcing commitments are a thing now - you'll likely see that #wearebc thing after all of their commitments.)

Maybe he tweeted that because they had a kid decommit yesterday?
