Just visited espn.com and they have a story with Teddy Bridgewater's face on the cover page. Looked quick and thought it was Terrell. TP, what's your diagnosis?

My guess would be a press conference for the announcement. Can't wait much longer. Getting zero work done...

Well we are almost entirely in the dark. No elaboration on the visit. This is either really really good or just as bad

I generally don't follow the recruiting process at all.

Can someone with knowledge please tell me if Terrell is considered the biggest recruit since Odom? If not, who would have been bigger than Terrell?

I'm trying to wrap my head as to just how big this is...if it's just a bunch of fans getting overexcited because it's the offseason and there's nothing to talk about or if this is truly a huge deal.

My opinion is that ec was approximately the same as terrell. Odom was a lock for the nba Terrell is not there yet

Yes, we are getting excited, we are so hungry for success. The bottom line is that with Terrell we have 2 4 star recruits and 4 3 star recruits we will dance with that.

I think he would be the highest rated prospect to come here since Lamar? If not, it's close. I recall Delroy was highly ranked in HS. EC too, but he was around 100 whereas Terrell is 50ish-70ish. Others I'm forgetting??

Delroy was an exceptional pickup basketball player at Mackal. Not many D1 players take a year off to apply themselves to dominating the pickup game. He was the man at URI.

So I can't seem to get anything done today.

Who cares! I think Terrell is a great fit for this program and it's great to see so many fans so engaged in this process. Other recruits will take note with the is level of excitement and want to play here in the future.

Hassan was #124 on Rivals. Delroy was #123.

You never know with these guys. There is little doubt that Terrell would be a huge get but he isn't a lock to be a star or even a good player. I also think that being that first domino to fall in the NE prep/AAU (especially Expressions who rarely sends kids to non Nike schools) is just as big.

Hopefully we won't be Adidas for much longer. Have not been impressed with their product. Didn't Hurley write something into his contract negotiations post-Rutgers offer that stipulated that we would leave Adidas asap?

Definitely true, but the possibilities are endless :-)

Blue Man, you are late to this. We've been mother henning this
thing since yesterday morning.
So, how out of balance are all of us, whose lives are frozen waiting for an
18 year old kid, who none of us has even met, to tell us if he's going to play games for
our college basketball team?
I think we should ask TP, our board's psychologist. Maybe we need an intervention?

Do you have any real information or is this just gut feeling? There is building evidence that Terrell is close to signing. There's reason for connected guys like Iggy and Rod to feel good about the last 24 hours, and the next 48.

and

It is on the outskirts of Boston city limits far from the downtown. Most of the campus is actually in the Chestnut Hill section of Newton with some tony neighborhoods surrounding two sides of the campus. It is basically between Comm Ave and Beacon Street. Has closeby MBTA Green line access to downtown. Much more of a defined campus similar to Fordham. Not like a city school such as GW or Boston University. Campus is nice and has had a lot of new construction in the last 1-2 decades. Great majority of students live on campus or in close by apartments. BC just bought the cardinal's mansion and offices across the street which has added much needed acreage for future development.

BC is one of the nicest campuses in the country. For anyone who watches the Boston marathon, it's right at the top of heartbreak hill. Not quite city. Not quite suburban. BU is more city, for sure. Head to down Comm Ave for a bit towards Newton and BC is right there.
