Re: 6'7" MI F Aaron Foster Smith
Looks good on tape, good size kid who can go inside or outside on offense, 6'7" with a nice looking shot...I'm interested.

Thanks for setting the profile up, Billy. Title updated for now. I'll try to take a pass at the profile in the morning. If anyone else has time to try, post it in the thread and I'll copy and paste it into the OP tomorrow.

Re: '14 MI PF Aaron Foster Smith
really impressed with the video. Nice to see a big that shows more than dunks over 6 foot forwards in his highlight video. Nice shot and nice touch around the basket.

Very interesting. Wish I could see more inside game, but I liked what I saw. Awesome to here we are involved. This Michigan connection could really turn into something.

Re: '14 MI PF Aaron Foster Smith
Remember, we only have ONE scholarship next year, so they
have to make it count.
This kid is a project, who has a giant upside. They may want a
more finished product.

Ah okay. Thanks for that info, I didn't know that. I completely agree then, I would want a more finished product.rodfromcranston wrote:Remember, we only have ONE scholarship next year, so they

"6'7" 2014 forward Aaron Foster-Smith (Taylor Truman, MI./Michigan Warriors 16u) Explosive, plays hard, athleitc, rebounds, defends post and mid-range, improved perimeter shot to go well with solid mid-range game."
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2013 ... /303050333
"It was tough for Foster-Smith. All eyes are on him, and the scrutiny will only intensify his senior season. Right now, he could step in and help Detroit or Toledo or some of the smaller schools that hold out hope of landing him. They like him because he can shoot and has aggressive spin moves and good instincts in traffic.
What he must improve on are his hands and conditioning.
"We got to get in better shape next year," Foster-Smith said. "Every year we have to try harder, especially against a team like Romulus.
"I realized they (were keying on me). I need to be more focused, and come out and dominate."
More work is answer
Foster-Smith is a project. This is all new to him. He's not used to the big stage. It can be overwhelming at times.
"It is a lot of pressure," Foster-Smith admitted. "I have to pretend they (coaches) are not out there."

Re: '14 MI PF Aaron Foster Smith
This summer will be important for many recruits......in the past a great AAU summer has elevated the recruitment of many of them....sometimes out of our reach....sometimes into our reach....
Foster-Smith could blow up beyond the reach of Detroit or Toledo.....I think we might be a step up from them....but that is a biased view....

Re: '14 MI PF Aaron Foster Smith
I like that he's not avoiding contact down low yet has finishing ability above the rim, short range, and from deep. Lots to work with given proper coaching.

Re: '14 MI PF Aaron Foster Smith
offered by Buffalo
also by CCSU, so maybe he's settling in a littler lower than previously thought?

Re: '14 MI PF Aaron Foster Smith
Since this thread is on a Michigan recruit, I wonder who our top target is this year in that area. Three years in a row, Preston has recruited a Michigan kid to URI, and each year, they seem to be more highly rated. Do we have a #1 target this year. Would it be Kyle Kuzma?
