I see this as a win for us tonight. Huge game as if we get this win following the Dayton win then we go into the Xavier game with momentum. Students and the Season Ticket alums who have been on the Coach this season to date will turn out for Xavier with a 2 game win streak and the shot at Brooklyn in sight. Lose this and the alums stay home - but the students will still come out for the Pink Out game with X.
URI has a legit shot at beating X too - imagine a 3 game winning streak?
We played solid against Dayton, all players are now healthy and these URI players are relentless in effort. The minute one does not show relentless effort then Hurley pulls them.
This game is huge, just as the Dayton game was huge.

Man these announcers are terrible. Not in the sense that they're homers, more that they're struggling to identify the Duqesne players.

6-0 start for Duqesne. Terrible start. Bad defense, bad offense. Jordan Hare goaltended a shot by Powell that was going to go in anyway.

Hope TJ is alright. He was having his best scoring game this year.
I know I'm not supposed to mention this, but Powell has had three shots blocked
by going inside.

33-28 URI at half time. Considering how poorly we played at times, I'll take it.

Powell's line needs to improve if we want to win though: 2-9 FG, 1 reb, 1 ast, 1 turnover.

Munford and Nik limited in playing time with 2 fouls.
We're not guarding the corner 3 very well. Jones and
the other kid who averages 2 points a game, seem to have open
shots all half.
Could have had a 7 point lead if Hare didn't have his mitt in the rim
on Powell's shot.
Why is Shannon Sharpe doing Duquesne color?

i am only still watching with the volume up because these guys are so bad. its actually entertaining.

but really...i hope those guys are volunteers - that half time interview set basketball commentary back a decade. rod - dead on with the shannon sharpe reference.

This game is fucking awful.

And I think I would be ok with that if the production value wasn't so poor. I've seen news footage of terrorist training camps that look better and more professional than this crap. And the two clowns they have doing play by play would be homers if I was convinced this wasn't the first basketball game they've ever seen.
