While flipping through my Miami Cable channels looking for my beloved Knicks, I came across a station that I did not know existed on my cable package - Comcast Basketball. And there at the three minute mark of the first half my other beloved team - the URI Rams were televised playing VCU. I did know how this occurred but I didn't complain.

Well with about 5 minutes to go and I was awaiting the Rams typical last minute surge - POOF - the signal was lost and a message came out saying that this game was being blacked out in my area.

first of all, love the username (Zach 1 and done Marbury). Hated that douche when I went to URI...we tossed him and his posse from our fraternity house a few times... anyway, back to my main point for posting. if you're out of market, go.coxsportsonline.com has the game feeds. Pretty cheap, like $9 for a month which typically gets you 2-4 games. Worth it. Also, someone usually posts a link to the "free" live stream which works...sometimes... All that said, I believe Saturday's game vs. Butler will be on CBS Sports which (in NYC) is buried somewhere in the 400's I think...

Just for the record, that's his user title. Anyone with just one post gets Zach Marbury, with users "earning" new titles based on the number of posts they make. I think there is a listing somewhere, maybe in the announcements subforum...

Thanks everyone. I have not fared well with streaming. Players take a shot and I can't see if he made it or not and then it fast forwards to the next play. The Ohio State and Seton Hall game with Foghorn Leghorn announcing were the only successful streams this year. And one channel also serves up porn which my wife was not pleased about when she saw one of the ads.

The image of Foghorn Leghorn and porn is troubling, even if that's how it played out. Some may not know the legend of One and Done Zach. Heard from a couple of people that Zach would yell that whenever he scored on someone in practice and had told the coaching staff of his plans to go pro after a year. Turns out he lacked humility and a quality game. You have to work hard to piss off a nice guy like Tommy Garrick, but apparently Zach did it early and often. Let's hope Stephon spread some of his earnings around the family.
