Don't start after our biggest win.
Maybe we can get to 4,000?
I'll be there! These guys deserve our support!
Rod, not sure what you mean by this post. I'll be there Wed by the way. I don't think I've missed a game that was played in RI yet this year. Go Rhody!!!

What a great team effort. We won because the entire team hustled and played their hearts out. No one carried us. Every single player contributed. When Ryan Brooks hit an open jumper I knew we had a chance to win this one.

Great win. Well deserved. Can't remember the last time we fouled with a 3 point lead.
If Powell misses a free throw, it won't be because of nerves. He's got ice water in his veins. Noticed that last year, too. Just like height, you can't teach that, either. Big Mike's injuries are becoming a concern. We're going to need him.

Wow what an unbelievable game. Thanks to those who provided the free links to watch this great game. Nice game by Hare and huge games by Munford, Malesevic, Powell and Malone. Have to get up to RC from South Jersey soon. These guys deserve support.

and that's why we can't ever give up on Hare. freshman struggles, but he has the potential to be a contributor on both sides of the floor. i thought he had more like 5 blocks, stats only say 3.

Just to make sure if doesn't get overlooked, how great was Nik's 3 to tie the game at 74, 1:21 to go in OT? Stepped up and drained it.

I don't know who this team is on offense.

I know we're a great defensive team. I know we make mistakes seemingly less and less.

I'm so happy to be a part of this ride. God damn do I love this team.

What a great game to watch giving us a glimpse of the future under Hurley. I knew Rhody would pull off a win or two in the A-10 in games they weren't supposed to have any chance of winning. I just hope they can do one at home so we can all share in the excitement in person. Last night would have been awesome to be at and really enjoy. A hard fought and well deserved victory by a team that just wouldn't give up.

Great win. Just about everybody on their game. Looked at the box score, and thought, was that us?

Follow it up with a win Wednesday night, and start building something!

Just happy it looked like they made an effort to get everyone involved a bit more, including Hare. This led to not only some production from the young big man but a more efficient Munford. It's almost like the Hurleys finally read my posts.........

Great game by the Rams. Just when I was losing some confidence over the team's prospects, they turn in this great performance. Is this just a hex URI has over Saint Louis U., or is this a turning point? No question, the shooting stats show URI's best game by far in FG%, 3-Point Shooting %, and FT %.

Probably a bit of both. The next step is to win a game where rhody shoots around 35% from 3. Just can't count on shooting over 50%. Need to play well enough to win other ways. But, a good step.

I was wondering the same thing so that I could watch it again. The game was so good I could watch it over and over. I doubt it though. The production was pretty low budget. They had to rewind the tape constantly just to show replays.

Just one question: I didn't see the game, was our 3 pt. shooting defense poor? Or were a lot of their shots contested, they just couldn't miss?

Usually our perimeter defense is way better than that. If so, they've got to get back to playing defense the way they have most games this year.

Hopefully it was just an aberration. Of course, when have we shot 50+% from 3 this year?

They have- Brown game (26%). Also, Vermont game (44%), SMU game (43%), Georgia State game (40%).

This team has limited talent. It's not surprising that a lot of things need to be clicking to get a win.

Well, if URI has any hope of making the conference tourney, 2 wins this week is a must have.

GW may not be as bad as we thought they were.

Anyway, to get to 3 wins is halfway there. IF that happens, I give us at least a 50-50 shot of going to NY.

If not...

100% right. It may not even be this year because, as you say, limited talent. Getting a road conference win is a major sign of improvement. If you have seen a lot of hoops, there are always signs of the arc of success. Winning on the road is one. Winning when you don't shoot well. Winning while your best player doesn't play well. Coming back from a big deficit. It's fun to watch a program get better.

Great game Saturday. Instant classic to me.
I, along with several friends and family members
made the trip to St Louis to support and wow
was it worth the 5 hour drive.

For the guys to play that way in such a hostile
environment was unbelievable. Both teams made big shots
and big plays and neither gave up. The Bils didn't
lose the game we won it. what a game it was.

Afterwards, I met Coach Dan, Bob, the rest of the
coaching staff and the Owner of the Mews and we all
celebrated afterwards a little. Had fun watching he
smile on my son's face when he saw his family there,
especially after the win.

I asked him which did he like the most, his 3 pointer to
tie the game or the free throws he made down the stretch?
His reply: " No question the free throws pops, we needed all of them".

What a game, what a night.
Thanks Rhody

We're so lucky to have a guy that gets it like Mike. He is a great asset to this team and is developing into a great PG. Great to see unselfish great basketball from this team, this team is successful because of all of the hard work they put in day in and day out. No one can question how hard this team works and their understanding the little things it takes to win games. Great win, looking forward to the next game, GO RHODY!

As I've said, since the early part of the season,
Mike Powell has discarded 99% of his bad habits, and become
a real asset to his team.
I was not a fan last year or earlier this season.
However, he has changed my point of view towards him.
One turnover in 41 minutes? Terrific. Plus clutch free throws, tough defense, and composure
down the stretch against SLU.
Next two games are winnable. GO, RHODY!

Yes, Indy trip only 3 hours away. This time I'm taking friends, family and a my travel ball teams too. The kids have been begging me to take them to watch a game.

Rod: I agree with your thought of Mike . He has made some improvement from last year in a few areas. The coaches told me that he deserved those shots he made Saturday. They said he had put in the work .

Mike Sr., seeing is believing!
Hard work deserves to be rewarded by good results.
Mike has easily been the most improved player from last year to now.
The effort he's put in to improve his game has been
very impressive.
Great job by all involved, coaches, family and player.
