Tweeting
Seems the players have stopped. Some players, like Mike Aaman would tweet constantly throughout the day. Biggie was another big tweeter, his is gone. I wonder if there have been orders for the players to stop?

Re: Tweeting
Bigby is still tweeting, but Hurley has one tweet since January 7, and Bobby only wished his daughter
happy birthday, since.
Seems like a teamwide moratorium on tweeting, for some reason, starting with the coach.
It's like everyone turtled after the St. Mary's and Brown games, on.
I'm sure it's not a coincidence.

Looks like the ban was until they won their first A10 game, They're all blowing up now.

I love watching Hurley work. I would have loved to play for him.

Yeah, that Biggie/Powell exchange is what tipped me off. Just a guess on my part, but looks like it's a safe assumption.

Clearly he is just voicing his frustration with the designated hitter rule in MLB. It is almost Spring Training after all...

I was thinking he was watching the movie Wall Street and hated Daryl Hannah's character. She was pretty shallow in that movie.

Re: Tweeting
DH has to be Dan. I bet he's in the dog house again. He may be frustrated cuz in his mind he played well last time out, but maybe didn't do what was needed between games.

Re: Tweeting
or DH could just be an abbreviation for a class? a girl he's dating? a friend he's fighting with? maybe it's a problem with the Dining Hall? maybe he's staying at a Dank Hotel? Maybe he distrusts Delicious Hawks? Maybe someone Drove Happily by him at a bus stop?
can we stop doing this thing where we assume we know what people's tweets mean?
If he was dumb enough to put something about hurley though we'll know tonight.

Re: Tweeting
The team should have a real problem with Nik's tweet. He's not so dumb to realize that everyone would assume whom he meant even if it was someone else. As long as you are a member of the team, you don't publicly put down a coach or any other team member. DH should confront him in front of the team, if it what it appears and Nik is contrite, he doesn't dress for GW; or longer until he gets it.

that's if he was talking about Hurley, we don't know what he was talking about or what DH means. People need to remember these are kids and sometimes people need to keep to themselves

Re: Tweeting
it could also be a joke and DH is aware of the post. how could anyone be so stupid to disrespect their HC in a public forum like that. if it is for real and is DH i suspect he is done for good at URI. but i highly doubt that is the case, let's hope its a joke or misunderstanding.

No one should have a real problem with niks tweet because he had nothing to do with anything associated with the team.Rhody72 wrote:The team should have a real problem with Nik's tweet. The only people that had a problem with the tweet are people on a message board throwing out hairbrained theories because they think of nik as a loose cannon and just read everything he says in that context.
So less focus on social media that we have zero cultural context to figure out, and more focus on things related to basketball and GW tonight? Cool.

Re: Tweeting
Howard is incredibly overrated, but I would argue that he is being seriously hampered by a bad back this season. Even a healthy Howard wouldn't do much to improve the Laker's play this year.

If Nik is referring to Howard and didn't realize most folks would think he was referring to Hurley that's just plain dumb, he comes off as smarter than that. Maybe it's a language thing and he meant a joker or he just likes his shit all stirred up.

I think he realized after he posted it, that people might think DH stands for Dan, instead of Howard. That's why he pulled it fast.

Re: Tweeting
That's absurd. Guy has a bad back. Try being 7' and banging bigs in the NBA with a bad back. Just look up the Magic roster he took to the NBA finals. You can call him almost anything you want after the petulant act getting himself out of Orlando but, for about seven years, he was a top 5 NBA player without question. There were ten guys getting max contracts then that were nowhere near as valuable.rodfromcranston wrote:I'll go with Dwight Howard.
