I'll be there but not taking the bus. Half the fun of the trip is going to Arthur Avenue after the game and a 3:30 departure on the bus doesn't allow for that.

yeah, I too live in NYC and will be there. Dagger John's (the bar underneath Rose Hill gym) is a great place to pregame - and usually has more rhody heads than fordham.

How sad it it, that this bus trip as of now, is a no go, because of the lack of
people signed up to go. Ugh!

Not surprising that they may not be able to fill a bus. This URi team is bad with a record of 5-10. People aren't even coming out to the Ryan Center. Why then would you expect people to shell out 100 bucks to ride a bus to the Bronx giving up nearly a full day to see not one bad Ram team but two?

There are plenty of reasons not to go to URI hoops games this year. Don't waste time and effort over it. Start planning for next season and worry then if fans still don't come. This year is a lost cause on and off the court.

It's a chance to spend time with real fans, and go to an interesting place
and root for the team.
I've made the trip before and enjoyed it.
There's more to sports than winning and losing.
I haven't considered going to the games this year, an effort or a waste of time.
That would have been the definition LAST YEAR.
I love this, "Wake us up when you're winning" mantra.

Rhodygirls 1 and 2 are going - bought our tix before the bus trip was announced, driving up and back same day. Love the atmosphere at Fordham, very excited for the Rhode trip.

Still trying to convince my sister to go to Hinkle this year, I'm worried it will be only chance to see a matchup there - no luck yet...

The trip was cancelled, due to lack of interest.
Too bad, I was looking forward to it.

I seriously considered going on this trip, but I thought the $100 per person price tag to be in NY for 2.5 hours was a little steep.

Really? 5 hours of travel time in most cars is $50-60 in gas plus ticket plus lunch. Very reasonable in 2013.

This is only a valid argument if you go by yourself. If you're going with someone then the cost goes to $200 and it's not a good deal anymore. I used to go on a lot of the bus trips but the costs have gone up significantly to the point where driving is the better option.

My car is 18 years old. It's OK for driving around here, but I wouldn't
chance it for six plus hours of driving.
