It really is amazing how they won quit. Last year we would have packed it in and lost by 30

It is absolutely amazing what a better team this is, with less talent. What a joy to watch, even if not pretty at times.

BULLSHIT! WTF

That drives me nuts. What a swing due to a ref being afraid to call a 3 shot foul in that situation.

All that fighting back and then the game is decided by the refs. So frustrating. You know that even when the hometown small time announcers are saying it, its gotta be bad.

His intent was to foul Munford before he could get the three off, his coach was screaming for him to do it on the sidelines, everyone saw it.

the refs blew that call but didnt lose that game

andre and nik should have dominated tonight, and both were invisible on offensive end. malone had a 5'9 guy covering most of 2nd half, should have been taking him down low or shooting over the top of him. nik is just an anomaly, completely absent of late.

on the positive side aaman was great tonight and munford is fun to watch.

Two calls involving Munford killed us. The offensive foul call where the guy basically flopped when X put a forearm on him. Then the no call when we are down 3 and the player has him wrapped up was just absurd. Killer to lose that one after fighting back so hard. Unfortunate that we fell behind 18 though and put ourselves in such a tough position.

I'm very proud of this team, even in a loss tonight.
They never quit. Period.
You know what? I WANT XAVIER MUNFORD TO SHOOT MORE!
He's the only guy on this team that can carry it, like he did tonight.
He got screwed on that no call. The Richmond kid was dancing with him.
Awful no call.
I also want to see Aaman get the lions share of the playing time.
He can rebound and score, and provide an interior game.
Powell played his worst game in a long time.
Nik was useless. Did he score at all in the second half?
Again, no quit in these guys, when they could have mailed it in.
GO, RHODY!

I continue to be very thankful that Hurley coached Munford in high school and that Aaman decided to follow him to Rhode Island.

An entertaining game, I'll take that for now.

hit a free throw, did have five rebounds (I was wondering that, too)

Nice double-double for Aaman (13/12)

my thoughts:
-loved Aaman tonight
-loved the fight and comeback
-awful non call (wouldn't have been shooting but would have kept us in the game)
-need to ride X and hope someone else can have a big game with him
-need to beat charlotte saturday

Powell, Nik, and Malone. The 3 biggest holdovers, none played well at all.

Does that tell us something? Powell, at least, should be better next year. The other two=useless.

Munford=big time. Aaman and Hare, projects but big potential.

This team is going to be MILES better next year!!!!!!

Cannot freakin' wait!!!!

Section, you're right, more offense from more people. However, there remains no quit in this team. Gotta believe that with so many more options next year, this team will be doing some serious payback. We will win on Saturday! Go Rhody!

Nik played awful for the majority of the game tonight. Poor shooting, the teq, and he got beat off the dribble on almost every play to the basket. He's just been too inconsistent. We could have done with less minutes from him tonight.

Let's be honest, someone = Xavier.

It's a small sample size (just 2), but Hurley has done very well with his JUCO players; it makes me have a lot of trust in him if that's the route they go to fill a spot for next year.

If you look at the box score its clear. We get something productive out of one of the following, Malone, Nik, or Powell and we win this game. We are too streaky with our shooting and can never afford to have 3 starters contribute almost nothing.

Well, it's only one league game, but what went down tonight, it's fairly encouraging.

Richmond imo is a mid pack A10 team this year. So maybe the Rams are pretty close to them?

If you balance things out, Munford won't be quite as good as he was tonight, but the others such as Powell and Nik might play better?

Just goes to show that if we can somehow get more than one or two players "on", we can beat some pretty good teams from here on out.

Maybe 6 wins isn't so far fetched after all.

If Hurley can get this group of players to be this competitive, I can't wait to see what we look like next year. If the guys we have lined up for next year are as good as we expect...that group might have been close to undefeated for us this season.

Well, I don't know about that. New players always take time to blend in.

The superstar PG will be a rookie with no college experience.

But Bruta will be strong down low and we have a nice wing coming in, so we should have a little more offense. Not tons more, but more.

Actually, that was a brain fart, I need a mulligan for that one.

Totally forgot about Martin, Oneykaba and Biggie, this team is going to be very different next year.

Hopefully, they can find someone to replace Munfords pts in year three however.

We will have way more scoring options, especially down low, than we have now.

Just need to add another 2 guard who can fill it up. Munford will be a senior, and he will need help on nights that he's off. But we won't have to rely solely on him, like we do this year.

Will be interesting to see who they recruit, besides that 2 guard.

Let's not get toooo far ahead worrying about year 3!! Munford will be surrounded by some TALENT next year. What kind of scoring might he be able to achieve with an inside presence in the offense and some transition offense?

Next year, I expect we might struggle a little early, but pick up steam thru the rest of the OOC schedule, and be a bear by the time league play starts.

Hopefully the OOC schedule will be a little soft early, but be better later, before league play starts. Something tells me after next season, it's going to get tougher for Dan to schedule good OOC games at the RC. Of course, schools like URI will most likely have to travel, to play the better teams anyway.

Still hurts to lose games, but hard not to see tonight's effort as encouraging. Especially battling back from well behind on the road.
