How do they do this Teddy Bear Toss? It would be way too cool to see Teddy Bears tossed from the rafters...or...do they have people just walk through a line next to the court and toss 'em..? 'cuz I think the former could be a gnarly spectacle. Probably wouldn't want to miss that...

Just at the end of the game not during. Although if they ref makes a bad call he might get pelted with a bunch of teddy bears

I can see Hurley and staff out at events tomorrow promoting the games to students. Student Union etc.

I'm saying 7200. It's greek night so we have that. PLus students have been turning out in force. I'm hoping we get 2500 students to fill the gaps.

Dan starts the push for the students - “ come on Rhody let’s set a student record tomorrow night for attendance in the Ryan Center”

Tough call, maybe Rhody fans will surprise us and we get close to a sellout.

Looks like decent amount of seats in the 300s. I'd be surprised in it gets in the 7's.

I'd be VERY surprised if we touch 7k. I'm thinking closer to 6300. Unfortunate, but not much we can do at this point in time. Hopefully the Dayton and St. Joes games sellout and this poor attendance is forgotten about.

When was the last time Rhody had a home game ranked #16 in the polls?

Never considering this is the highest we've ever been ranked

Dayton game is already sold out. Someone I work with tried to buy 2 tickets on Monday and was told there were no tickets available.

With the t-shirt giveaway, I think a lot of students will show. If 2500 show, it could be close to a sellout.....and very loud!!!

I am getting a little long in the tooth, having seen my first game as a freshman in 1963, but I seem to remember us being ranked higher in 88, after the tourney. Maybe wishful thinking?

there's no "official" ranking after the tourney. Last rankings come out in early March.

If that were the case though, I'd expect '98 to have the highest ever ranking, based on the fact that they were one of the last 8 teams alive.

I am going to predict 7,187. I know at least four of my friends who have not been to a game all season going tonight. We plan on meeting up at one of the local brewery's prior to the game. I think the sell out for this game and the scarcity of tickets for the Dayton game made some people who wouldn't typically come to a game (especially a late one) make it to this one. For me, and probably for most URI fans it is important to savor these moments as much as possible.

I also recall a ranking after the 1988 tournament run as well. I think it may have been #12. Can't recall which poll it was. Polls back then were only for the top 20.

Dayton is listed as a SELLOUT on gorhody.com. There are some seats available on Vivid seats - a reseller.

I recall URI being ranked 11 after the 1998 tournament was over, but I was also told there are no official rankings once the tournament starts. I guess it makes sense. If there's a 7 seed that wins, it's doubtful that 7 seed (theoretically #25 thru 28 rank) would be the # 1 team in the post tourney ranking, and you'd have a #1 that lost in the tourney.

I'll be honest, the only thing keeping me away from the Ryan Center tonight is the fact that I have a 2 year old and my wife works until 9:30 on Tuesdays, so I have daddy duty (which will sadly also keep me away from going to senior night). But I'll be watching on CBSSportsNet and I'll be at the Dayton game.

Speaking of the Dayton game, I noticed yesterday it was sold out - at least 11 days in advance. What is the earliest any Ryan Center game has ever sold out? Anyone know? I'll tweet this to @RhodyTickets and report if I get an answer.

It is the URI Greek Life Alumni game that means at least 750 students have to attend for greek life.

Yes, please encourage them to stay for the whole game. It's a really bad look when they all leave after halftime.

How about simply the 16th Ranked AP and 14th Ranked USA Today Team in the Nation - Highest Ranked during the Regular Season in the History of URI Basketball and climbing
And 15 Straight Victories 2nd only to Cincinnati for longest current win streak of 351 Teams

During the Harrick to Hurley years I can see the Greeks leaving at half time but Toto we are not in Kansas anymore

Do you really think the Greeks that are only going to the game because it's Greek week care about that?

Was at the box office earlier today picking up extra tickets. Was told that they were not expecting a sellout but were planning for big walk up sales. Might not be a sellout but will still be a big crowd.

Where are the dot counters when we need them? What sections do they let students overflow into? Sections 303, 314, 307,310 & 312 show the most open seats. 303 & 314 are closest to the student section. I know I have seen the students overflow into 303 & 304 before. Our tickets are in 304.

At the beginning of the year my largest concern was the crowds wouldn’t match our performance. With two likely sellouts to end the season i think it’s safe to say we (URI fans) did our part to show Dan that “If you build it [we] will come”. I’m not pretending to know as much as Ace, but i think this was a key piece in keeping Hurley here.

The Greeks stay to the end because there is an announcement about pairing fraternities and sororities and some theme assignment right after the game.....they used to announce the pairings at halftime and the kids would all leave....now they stay until the end...
