I'm holding off on getting too excited about what Rothstein said. All he said was word is "out for the game reevaluated tomorrow" which is a pretty standard update for these injuries. He then drew the conclusion it wasnt as bad as feared. I am not making the same assumption based of basically no info yet.

I think he just slammed his knee cap right into the floor. If anyone has had that happen, it hurts like hell and it is real scary. But as long as he didn't shatter it, it shouldn't be a long term issue. Possible a bone bruise could keep him out a game or two. I'd sign up for that at this point - just as long as he didn't shatter it.

Steve MacDonald on the radio is reporting that the initial statement from URI Athletic Department is that the injury to E.C. appears ot be not a long term thing.
Also, E.C. will be evalauated tomorrow once the swelling in the knee goes down.
