survived that game by half a step. Pipkins nearly played that perfectly.

all around ugly effort again. no focus and no hustle. cant win for long losing on the boards and the 50/50 balls.

The ranking is getting to them.. Not playing their game. Totally out hustled at the end.. Good thing they got called for violation.. 2 bigs were in and just stood there.... Rebounding is becoming an issue.. Everyone needs to help... But they won. That's a good thing

Defense is not getting it done....although UMass played as well as they could play...24-25 FT's?

Playing only as well as they need to.....we shot 61%.....wtf.....and still had to sweat it.

It's a win! Going to have to step it up Friday though.

Maybe screw kenpom...but it's used to seed teams in the dance....

We played a totally different UMass today.
Pipkins was up to some Chris Lowe Ricky Harris crap at the end.

Nice that we have some more material for Hurley to use to get us better without having lost.

They need a week off to refocus.....teams are coming at them.....nothing is easy right now.

At least they are winning these types of games, where not too long ago they were losing them.

We will only drop a couple spots kenpom and bpi......same as after the Duquesne game.

I’ve been on this board long enough to know when I’m going to have to read poop, so I will ignore the previous posts and just point out how nice it is that our program has reached a point where we are bitching about how we win conference games on the road.

Man, they nearly blew a 14 point lead. Started with 2 misses by Stan (or was it the front end of a 1 and 1?). 7 straight UMass points. Couple of other miss freebies and a wild 3 pointer off a few rebounds. Got real lucky there boys. Berry and Langevine needed to box out better on that and good thing for the lane violation. Still, if you're up 12 at the U4, you really need to close it out and don't let a team back in it. Hopefully they learned this lesson.
Can't do the same against VCU Friday.

On to VCU.
