Quick update - ticket availability for the St. Bonnie game Saturday 1/13

by RI_Bred
Just an FYI, I just ran over to the Ryan Center box office at lunch today to grab a couple of tickets for the wife and I for Saturday's St. Bonnie game...

Asked for the best two seats they had. Only single seats available in the 100 and 200 levels (minus the student section promo seats) - ended up with Row D section 304.

Should be a good crowd!

The next two Saturdays (looking online) both have high sellout potentials.

How do you buy the student section promo seats? I was looking online but couldn't figure out how to buy those tickets

Go to GoRhody website - link below. Shows that the $10 Student Section Tickets are still available for this game. Great chance to sit at floor level. But you will need to be early since these are general admission seats.

Hoping Bonnies win tomorrow to help keep the interest high for students to show and walk ups.

Right now, it looks like only a couple of single seats available in the 200 level. If I counted correctly, I see only around 350 seats available...mainly at the upper 300 levels and end zones!

I'm sure this is going to be a difficult game for the ticket office and ushers. How do you handle students vs walk up sales and how do you handle students trying to sit in their normal area and people who bought the be a student promotion? I wonder if they'll open up the gates early for the ruckus

Just went to Ryan center website and counted tickets left for sale. We are at less than 600 to go. Wish I could be there but my other passion is calling. I will be in Philly to watch my Eagles. Gave my seats to a Loyal Ram fan.

hopefully the dots don't lie, but we've been fooled before....

team deserves a sellout crowd quite honestly

they have done all that we could have asked for up to this point.

I will be there, lets show St. Bonnies what home court advantage is all about. I believe they still have the 10$ student section ticket, which worked out great for me vs Iona.

Have fun! I hope Nick remembers how to be a semi-competent quarterback.

My god, I hate ACLs. They have ruined so many seasons.

Has anybody talked to the box office to confirm only 600 seats remaining? That kind of information would be good to put out by the box office to help drum up urgency for those still thinking about going.

since everyone knows my obsession with counting little dots (there is a low ticket alert on theryancenter.com

0 tickets in the 100s unbstructed (1 more that is considered obstructed view)
2 tickets in the 200s unobstructed (20 more that are considered obstructed view)
376 tickets in the 300s unobstructed (125 more that are considered obstructed view)

so i count 524 seat available (about 30% are obstructed view)
a note, you can still buy be a student tickets to this event as well

Have we ever had a sellout in Ryan Center history without the students being in session?

We still have the 1500 in the student sections. Hopefully most, if not all, will sell.

not the full 1500, they flex some of the tickets and lower the number available i believe. i have nothing backing this up but I would think the number is around 500 rather than the 1500

There’s a message that says “low ticket alert” on gorhody for the Bonnie’s game so I’m guessing 600 is probably fairly accurate. I’d like to see a tweet or something with the number of tickets left, probably would get at least a few more people to buy them.

20 seats just opened up in section 214. I'm not sure how that happens. Yesterday the entire section was sold out.

Maybe saved for some ticket agency and re-released? If so, that sucks!

The corner sections in the 200s are also mini-plan sections. I thought they were pretty much sold out.

Billyboy,
I am not familiar with how the 3 pack works. When it says Duquesne (which by the way has turned out to be a much better potential game), Dayton and then any other game (other them PC) then does the buyer have to declare that 3rd game upon purchase? Or can the buyer wait as the season goes along to pick the 3rd game?

No, you have to pick it when you order it. But the Bonnies game is part of the 5 game package. I guess those open seats in 214 might have been seats that are owned by someone with the 3 game package. I didn't think of that. Thanks for pointing that out. The strange thing is that they weren't shown as being available yesterday. I hope I didn't confuse you, because I confused myself a little.

BTW, I picked St. Joe's as the 3rd game of the 3 game package....senior night. That's going to be something this year. It is every year, but REALLY something this year.

This is good considering that it is expected to be raining before game time. At least we won't get soaked when wanded.

If this extra security continues they are going to have to expand the RC to accommodate people. They will need to build out the entrance to the road.

With a sellout crowd as expected just simply open the doors 30 minutes earlier. Simple.
We do it for PC whenever they come to the Ryan Center
VCU Doors open 90 minutes before game time
With security enhanced, bigger crowds, think BIG URI - Open the doors and let the people in - just like VCU for every game. Save on the tent

Even if you open the doors early you're still going to have a line on that side of the arena close to gametime. Having the tent is the smart thing to do, for both the fans and the workers
