I don't think it was screwed up, was it? Cyril saved it off a guy and it deflected to Jared who hit the three, but the guy he saved it off of was standing out of bounds.
That’s exactly what happened. It wasn’t a messed up call.

If it gets to that, start with the two points Dan gave them.
Worse performance of the year. SLU is a 180+ RPI team.
PC beat them by 27 on a neutral court.
LaSalle beat them by 23 at home.

Horrible offensive flow last three minutes. What are they running?

People are killing me in this thread. You go on the road in conference and games like this happen. Every team plays bad games over the course of the season, especially on the road in conference. You aren't going to win every game by 30, so get over yourselves. Be happy you root for a team that can win a game like this.

True, but it's frustrating when both our star guards play like crap.

Yes it was ugly. Yes they can play better. But a win is a win.
I think a lot of teams in the A10 will watch this tape.
The blueprint is out.
Which also swings the other way bc I think DH is a great coach and understands this and will practice practice practice.

I don’t buy the URI “didn’t show up,” narrative. They won. How many times have we hung with the top team in the league just to see the other team find a way to put the game away and forget about. No matter how unimpressive.

Hey. On to the next one.

I disagree. SLU sucks. They are a 180+ RPI playing with 7 guys. The 10th ranked team in the A10.
I woukd agree if this was Dayton, VCU, LaSalle, Davidson. Even UMass and St Joes. But not SLU.

I think you can put the undefeated talk that people have thrown out there to rest.. Everybody is gunning for us...that's a good thing.. Feels good to be a ram fan again..

My thoughts...

Ford had a great defensive game plan and his adjustments to our lineups was impressive(isolation to Berry etc)
Terell and Berry came to play...everyone else for the most part had poor performances
Too many fouls. Giving too many free bees. A better club with that foul difference cost us a W
EC was getting pract practically forced to go to the right and he continued to go to his left... he has to be able to go to his right
A win is a win but we definitely sweated that one out.

I didn't sweat this for a minute.

Fatts was invisible in the second half.

EC was in his head.

Berry and JT were consistent.

Felt like Dowtin was bad in a number of ways. He just pounded the ball and tried to make plays which he's not that good at. Missed lay ups.

Would have rather had Jarvis out there at the end to speed up the offense a little bit, but dan sure does love him some Dowtin even after he makes a series of bad plays.

You could tell Stan was not 100%. Big free throws at the end.

Perfect wake up game before a big game. We will be ready.

Way to close out a bad game by making your free throws and getting the win!

EC as usual trying to do too much and winds up taking a lot of bad shots. Before this game he had 4 assists in 194 minutes of playing time or an average of 1/2 per game played. How about a drive and a pass to the open guy once in a while. We need him to play better and smarter. You are going to have an off game once in a while but you need to play smart all the time. That applies to everyone. PLAY SMART.

if this was any other year we all expect to lose this game, and then we would lose it.

Tonight, we locked down on D down the stretch, and hit most of our free throws at the end and came away with the W.

We have now won 12 straight conference games...let’s make it 13 on Saturday.

I’ll haveto watch this again since I am away and could only watch a good part of the 2nd half. Lots not to be happy about of what I saw. More of the one on one crap from Dowtin and EC that I cringe at. We are so much better when we move on offense. Thank god St L travelled 3x in a row at the end. Could have been a choker. And any loss in this A10 schedule hurts. Such a weak conference and Bonnie’s loss wasn’t helpful.

St. Louis’ big and atheltic guards disrupted our offense. Have to give them credit. Berry the difference between the two teams tonight.

Tournament teams find ways to win these games. NIT teams lose these types of games.

It seems Dowtin is starting to pound the ball more and more and is not even making one pass. Dribbles for 18-25 seconds then Starts the offense.

2-9 tonight, with some bad shots.

9 assists so obviously not all bad, but he has had some Mike Powell-esque possessions where he dribbles for way too long and turns it into a wasted trip down the court.

We were playing the "prevent offense".........won't work against better teams.

We don't play that way at home most of the time.....but on the road it's still a problem.

The way to protect a small lead is to stay aggressive on offense....if I have any problem with the coaching any more, this is it.

When Dowtin or Garrett dribble for 20 seconds, that's coming from the bench imo....stalls everything out.
