George Mason has one of my favorites in Jersey’s own Otis Livingston. Not sure why, but I thought the team would be decent this season. So far? Not so much.



Also, 11 games into the season, and ESPN still doesn’t know Fatts plays for Rhode Island.

The family 4 packs for today’s game were listed as sold out when I was looking for tix yesterday. I’m thinking a bigger crowd than the other nite.

Never mind. Someone else was right. I just looked for it and it's only for the LaSalle game.

It is for the LaSalle game but I could have sworn that I saw it earlier today for the George Mason game. Maybe I am wrong but I really thought I saw it.

Not a lot of seats left. 300 level corners and endzones. I'm guessing about 800 left, not counting the student sections. If the student section seats sell pretty well, we could have over 6000 today. If they sell really well, maybe 6500+.

What's up with Fatts Russell and his three point shooting in the last four games. I just replayed the Charleston and FGCU games. Sometimes he takes an ill advised shot with a opponent in his face, another time he doesn't take the time to set his feet correctly, some shots don't even come close to the rim and all I know is that 2-13 is pretty bad. We need him back to PC game performance.

He's a freshman and is going to be inconsistent. Not sure there's much else to it.

Hoping this minor snow doesn't diminish the crowd. I'm hoping we get another solid turnout this game. If folks who don't normally attend games went to FGCU, maybe they want to come back for another great time. Build the base and let them leave happy is a great formula for big crowds.

From your mouth to god's ears, that would be a helluva crowd for a low grade opponent the day before NYE. Let's hope ticket buyers show up and don't let the snow keep them away.

If ever there was a good opportunity to give minutes to Layssard and Tertsea, this is the time. These guys cant continue to rot on the bench if we ever expect to see them develop.

That's nation building right there by DH. A huge testament to the benefits of sustained winning...and a great indicator to future attendance when students are back.

Pretty dominant performance. Once it got to 32 you could tell the guys were laying off. Nice tribute for Rod's daughter Andrea and his grandkids sitting in 112. Many people on their feet for that. Big, big crowd. It's gonna be fun when the students get back

Great game by the boys today. Never in doubt and a large crowd with no students. I can see 7k plus the rest of the year.

I have one beef. We are up 30 with 14 minutes to go. We know what we get from Akele which is almost nothing.

We can't try to put Layssard in the game with the starters? What would that have hurt? He can't be worse than Akele. He can't.

I'm not sure what Preston did but he is in the dog house. We were counting on him and he is getting zero minutes. Would love to hear the inside

story on that. Dan has done a wonderful job getting the crowds to the Ryan. There is a buzz. Like I said 7k plus from here on out.

On attendance: the last post I saw before I headed down to Kingston was Billyboy's about the ticket promo, and I wanted to offer an opposing anecdote; but alas, I got in the car and forgot about it until I heard the attendance announced at almost 6400: my mother - who has not been to a URI basketball game since my parents divorced in 1998 and who couldn't name one player that has played for Rhody since Tommy Garrick and generally is more annoyed by than interested in sports - texted me this morning to ask if I was coming to the game because she had bought tickets and was going to be there. If you're reaching my mother, you are reaching the definition of a casual fan. It's happening.

.......Akele......someone on the radio team, apparently projected his fouls to be 11.2 for 40 minutes today......ouch.....

Am apple watch giveaway is nice I guess, but I would prefer an offer along the lines of something like an upgrade to the computer/electronic of your choice or new cellphone under $300-400. Hell, just offer a bestbuy gift certificate! I'd even offer to install it for free if no students are willing.

I imagine many of the nerdy/gamer types types would be far more interested in possible winning a new $300 GPU/4k TV/Console. Or nice phone for the non-gamers instead of a fancy watch.
