Some people don't think that playing WVU is big news anyway.

Will we have WVU at the Mohegan next year or vice versa?

I still haven't seen anything official about WVU. Just here. Is it a done deal?

If this is a one time neutral court, this is an even bigger win for our basketball team/admin as we will get credit for a Neutral court game 35 minutes from our campus with no payback!

That's the way I read it, which would be massive if true.

How is this news any different than playing the tourney this year vs Seton Hall and Virginia, or playing Cincinnati and Duke at Mohegan last year? Am I missing something?

Or Okie State or Ohio State at Mohegan?

This thread wasn't started by Birdman. Birdman is also not a reporter, he is just a fan like the rest of us. Why would Birdman have a comment or put it out there before it was officially announced if he said from the start he couldn't say anything more about it?

If you put out information that was told to you in confidence, you lose your source. Pretty simple.

Agree it's that simple, so why did he do it? and as many of us have said all along it wasn't all that big a story anyway. But this thread continues

It's just me Blueman. I hate West Virginia and Huggins and their fans. I'm glad we're not giving them a home if that's what it is. I hope we kick the shit out of them.

Getting this game is fantastic...can't wait to see it happen. The more often they get games like this the better obviously.
I don't look at the one neutral as better than a neutral and away, though. Would like to see them play teams like this wherever, whenever possible.

This thread just seemed awfully long (even without my posts), for news that was practically public back in October...

All the guy did was tweet that he heard something that he was very excited about and thought other fans would be to. Not if it is a neutral court game.

I mean not for nothing...but this is the best team we'll be guaranteed to play in OOC in almost 2 decades. Previous to this it took tournaments to get us to see a Maryland/Duke/Virginia type, or we were a buy game for #5 Arizona.

We got a perennial top 10 program, to agree to a "neutral" game that is an hour from campus. Also, with the emphasis on games away from home in the selection process, this helps.

Agree with Adam. If anyone else heard the news as bird heard it, they'd have jumped through the roof too. Just because you may have put unrealistic expectations on what you would consider "good" doesn't diminish how big of a get this is for our program.

Some people have an amazing way of finding some way to be unimpressed or unhappy with really good things - or have their standards for "good" wayyyy off track.

Some threads have people wondering in January if they would rather play nova or virginia in the sweet 16, and now some have said a playing a top 10 team an hour from campus isn't as good as something else it could be. This place is the wild west.
