Re: URI vs Oregon Replay
I watched the 1st half on TiVo the other day. I couldn't bring myself to watch the 2nd half.

I wish I saw this earlier, I want to see it again, it is like a car accident you just have to look. Need to know who was supposed to box out on the foul line rebound at the end and did the Duck get in the lane early? It's Thursday and the pain has not subsided

I watched it today and taped it. I want to go back again and watch a number of plays I identified my first TV viewing. It was not as painful as I thought it would be. Proud of the way we played.
I dread watching the Michigan Oregon game tonight knowing we could be sitting in the stands

Cannot watch it yet but did see charging call against EC. What an effing bad call. Brooks leaned to the right and flopped big time like he was hit by Refrigerator Perry.
Something needs to be done about the bad calls by the refs. Can the coach have one play per game that he can ask to be reviewed by the refs?
How about the lack of a call that really helped INC beat Arkansas.

The rebound on the FT was Brooks over JT. Dan had the 4 G line up in. Thought he should've put Cyril in (said that before the FT). Guy sitting behind me (local Sac fan) mentioned before the FT that Brooks was leaving early on the release.bwerner10 wrote:I wish I saw this earlier, I want to see it again, it is like a car accident you just have to look. Re: URI vs Oregon Replay
I was just subjecting myself to the replay on my DVR. It's sad watching Martin as a shell of himself out there. He is clearly hobbling around. There were two drives from Brooks where a healthy Martin would've put the ball in the stands, but he just couldn't get the elevation. And on the offensive end, a nice pick and roll where he would've crammed it if healthy, instead only got up an off balance close range shot that rolled around and out, after which he was pretty much limping. I'm still convinced that with a healthy Martin we nit only win this game, but had the confidence, talent and momentum to beat any team in this tournament. There was also the 2 on 1 drive with EC and Cyril where EC chose to keep it himself and miss a layup instead of alley oop it to Cyril for an easy slam, Cyril was totally ready for it too. And then the plays in the last 2 mins that we've discussed at nauseum. Oh well. Gotta move on I guess. Actually felt kind of good to rewatch how well we played for most of the game, taking it to one of the top teams in the country. Next year looks promising, that's for sure.
