It's a nice moral victory for our fan base and players but it'd be similar to how St. Joes gave UConn their toughest game 3 years ago when UConn won it all. Ultimately it's still a loss and doesn't mean much in terms of what would've happened had we won.

Plus I really don't like Oregon so I'd rather see them get blown out and lose by 30+.

Meeks bullied his way to that rebound. But there's no way they're going to call a foul there.

Yes agree 78 can't call a foul there in that spot . The amazing thing is they blew 2 rebounds in those crucial spots

Dillon Brooks is a punk can't root for that guy and his draft stock is taking a huge hit the way he has played

True, but Oregon traveled at least once, maybe twice, on their previous possession. I'm totally good with refs swallowing their whistles except for completely egregious things at that point in the game.

Don't underestimate Karnowski.
He's so fundamentally sound.
Collins was great tonight, but this was his best game.
I've seen them a lot this year, and
Karnowski amazes me with his play.
He looks like an old WWF wrestler (before steroids took over fake wrestling)
but he has serious skills.
Collins has the better upside, if he stays at Gonzaga.
He's got all the tools for greatness.
It was odd in the UNC-Oregon game, that a few times,
whoever had the ball, missed Justin Jackson alone on breaks.
Jackson is a great shooter and all around player.
He gave Brooks fits all night.
UNC and Gonzaga are huge teams, with skilled
guards and swingmen.
Monday should be a terrific game.
Hanging over this is UNC could have a championship
vacated, if the NCAA ever gets around to their findings
on the UNC academic scandal.
The NCAA has dragged its feet on this for years.

I think the shot of the team huddled around a crying Hass could be in there.
It's sad but it shows the power of Rhody love.

Will leviton has the best shot to get in it though.

I know everyone hates when people complain about refs, but in this case I don't really care who wins AND Mike Stevens is my old coach and I love the guy...but he's having one of the worst games I've ever seen.

Yep...people always want to pretend its never the refs because they think it gives them some kind of moral superiority or whatever. But I have been saying it all along, the majority of college refs are terrible at their job. It's being proven on a national stage right now.

During that jump ball with 0:48 seconds left, Meeks put his hand out of bounds while in contact with the ball. Missed call in favor of UNC again.

Too bad the refs dominated the game, turning it into
a foul fest.
They took Gonzaga's inside game away, with fouls
early on in the second half.
Collins was excellent in the brief time he played.
14 turnovers to 5 didn't help the Zags, nor did
9 missed free throws. (UNC missed 11 !)
Williams-Goss was 5-17. Karnowski was mediocre
at best.
Just an ugly rock fight of a game.
Funny thing is, the UNC victory has a decent chance
of getting vacated if the NCAA gets off the schneid
and rules on the long investigated academic scandal.

Meeks was out of bounds I think on the loose ball tie up and it doesn't even go to review. This should be a big story tomorrow
