Much rather have this seed than a 9 seed.

And not the most stacked bracket like the east on is.

Let's roll...nothing to lose.

Oregon without their starting center,
took Arizona to the wire.
Dillon Brooks is awesome, and
they have lots of talented players, like Dylan Ennis,
Jordan Bell,and Tyler Dorsey.
They weren't playing their best ball
towards the end of the season.

TP, Creighton sucks? How many times did you see
them play?
They have 8 wins against teams in this NCAA.
They're not world beaters at 25-9, but they certainly
aren't a bad team.

As far as us getting an 11 seed that's what I thought

We avoided 6 seeds SMU and Cinci happy about that .

If we do beat Creighton get a solid Oregon team who just lost a decent player to an ACL but a very tough team.

Dayton got a 7 seed I thought that was high they didn't beat anybody OOC and they have to play a tough Wichita team

We should have been higher seed or at least tied with VCU we beat them twice and our best win over Cinci is better than theirs

All the teams in the top half of the bracket are going to be pretty good. From the standpoint of how well it stacks up for us versus what it could have been, I'm thrilled. Doesn't guarantee we will win two or even one game. But it would be hard to draw up a more inviting scenario.

The talking heads on ESPN giving URI a lot of love right now. In fact they picked us to beat both Creighton and Oregon to advance to the Sweet 16. Mentioned what a good defensive we are, that we're finally healthy, that we have EC as our playmaker, Hass protecting the rim, etc.

Exciting for sure. Friday can't get here quickly enough. Let's show the country what URI basketball is all about!

Creighton should have been around an 8 or 9, and us a 10.....but that's OK......

I think it's better to play a 3 seed rather than a 2.
And the 3 seed has a better chance to lose to the 14.

100% agree that it is a great draw for us. Not only is Creighton beatable but I'm not exactly intimidated by Oregon either, especially since Boucher went down last night. I just think we are not seeded correctly. I think our resume finished as that of a 6-7 seed, although I expected to be a 9-10.
Screw job of seed/location - but very generous with the draw we have.

I honestly think we should win the first game, and very easily could win against Oregon.
Classic hyperbole...

"should win the first game."
"very easily could win against Oregon." Sure, very easily...URI by at least 20.

Nothing is a "should win" for this team and nothing is "easily" done in the NCAA tournament. I think any team is capable of beating any team and URI will be in for a battle regardless of the opponent.

WTF the kinder gentler Mod posts "too bad" another forum member isn't dead and it gets likes??!?!! what's wrong with some of you, that's not even remotely funny, people can have opinions without wishing each other dead. If PMMM doesn't see us as one of the best teams playing some of it's best basketball at this point, he doesn't see what I see during this run, most of us understand this has been an excellent A+ job by our coaches and players to become A10 Champs!! PMMM actually said the same thing you, TP, said earlier when you said you were nervous we were being "penciled" in to be the 11 seed that goes to the sweet 16, he puts a negative spin on it, yes, but he's probably just feeling cautious or whatever. I for one am nervous for every single game we ever play even when I think we "should" win. I'm not sure if we should beat creighton or not, I believe the way we've been playing we have a great chance to advance several games, heck, why not eilite eight or final four? That is what I thought of our collection of players going into this season, sky's the limit, wishing someone dead because they don't agree is just lame. We don't have to all get along all the time but when it gets nasty like that is what drives me nuts on here, suggest to PMMM that he should try loving this team and feeling confident in them, but you too, TP, have questioned this team at times during this season.

He wouldn't have it any other way (#1 seed would get three home games). Add in the fact that the NIT semis and finals are in NYC and all fits his MO. His team will never leave NY state. It will be just like the non conference schedules he usually has.

This board was a cesspool this year to the point that it was embarassing to be a member. I have no problem with TP clapping back so that it doesn't become a thing. Obviously no one wants anyone dead, it's the Internet those posts come with a grain of salt.

Yes, TP, myself and others questioned the team after losing one of the worst games possibly in URI history given its implications at the time.

The difference, of course, is that we literally just had the best weekend/last week/4weeks in this basketball program in 19 years. I think anyone that questioned the team is happily eating crow, or should be, or honestly should shut the fuck up. This win was for everyone that's wanted to die inside for the last 18 years...we can have a day without more bullshit like that.

It's been a really really really long time since this happened, being a "fan" who posts on here only after losses and then tries to smear shit on anything after this weekend can factually suck nuts.

Even fans of other programs are coming on here to congratulate us.

Posting negative bullshit after that is just being a turd in the punch bowl for the sake of being a turd in the punch bowl.

Yes PMMM, nothing is easy in the NCAA tournament. Huge fucking shock. Sorry for a little hyperbole while being really fucking excited about my team winning and talking about it on my teams message board.

You must be such a joy at parties.

How did you celebrate the a10 title? With your cats? Did you watch?

"This board was a cesspool this year to the point that it was embarassing to be a member." Love you blueman, but look to your own mirror when looking for embarrassing forum members. Your posts are probably some of the most abrasive and myopic of all. You continue to puke your emotions all over the forum and act like others just have no right to an opinion. I disagree with PMMM's negative take, but wishing someone dead isn't ever funny or appropriate to express unless you mean it, that's myopic on my part but it's what I believe and as much as I agree with you that this is no time to drop a turd in the pool, there is a world of difference between calling someone out and wishing them dead, reading that from a mod is embarrassing to me and I'm not easily embarrassed.
