Anyone planning to go out somewhere in Boston showing the game?

Barring foul trouble, I could see our shortest rotation of the year. Akele in particular I expect to only see the floor if Iverson gets into foul trouble. He looked overwhelmed yesterday. Thompson did, too, but he can be a beast defensively so maybe they use him for some spells to keep fresh legs on Gibbs.

Along these lines, what's the guess on how long before Stan subs in to check Gibbs? Are we expecting normal substitution rotations today?

The normal ones have already changed. Look at the minutes for Akele and Thompson lately...way down. We're pretty much playing 8 guys now. Langevine and Hass are on the floor at the same time more often. The two sophomores have not played well recently, so I don't expect to see them much today.

......I think we have to act on Gibbs rather than react to him getting off.....gotta take them out of what they want to do, total disruption deny Gibbs from getting the second/third pass in their sets....major pressure on the ball, regardless of who is defending....

Our guys need to stay out of foul trouble today. It was only an issue for Iverson yesterday which helped.

Would love to see a rotation with JD, EC, Kuran, Cyril, and Hass.

JD, EC, and Kuran (only if necessary) can all handle the ball outside the perimeter.

Talk about the size and rebounding advantage with these guys.

Jared Terrell may have his offensive struggles game to game but he shuts people down.

Our calling card of stout defense from 2 years ago has made a comeback in a big way. It's why we've won all these games down the stretch.

You want your best defenders out there especially when Jack Gibbs is on the other team.

Hurley went pretty much 8 deep yesterday - I thought his game management was excellent.

JT matches up nice with DC on both ends of the floor.

I like the 8 man rotation and the way Hurley is coaching at the moment.

I see a dangerous team capable of a sweet 16 run firing on all cylinders.

I could see him getting a couple of minutes here and there too, to be physical with Gibbs. Keep hounding Gibbs with Jared, Stan and Christion with occasionally doubling him to make him get rid of the ball. Then deny. I think if we hold Gibbs under 20, we win.

Akele and Thompson combined for 0 pts, 0 assists, 1 reb, and 3 TOs in 7 minutes. There doesn't seem to be a reason that those 7 minutes couldn't go to Langevine (7 pts, 5 rebs in 12 minutes), Stan (9 pts, 2 assists, a steal and a rebound in 18 minutes) or Jarvis, who didn't have great stats in his 16 minutes but looks like he is getting back into form.

I dont get the fascination with Thompson and his defense? He came here billed as a shooter and he's been extremely mediocre, I think putting him on Gibbs is a big mistake, Davidson will be in the bonus in a hurry, much rather see Dowtin or Stan guarding him.

Aldrich is actually our nightmare matchup IMHO.
Pure all court player looks like a little Larry Bird.
He's brutal....I wouldn't begin to know how to coach against him.

Worries me huge.

Yesterday was the most aggressive and active I have seen Terrell all year. He was very effective on defense and caused some Turnovers to occur that would not appear in the scorebook for him but he was creating havoc that was benefitting the team. I thought maybe he was so amped up it might be draining him on the offensive end because it was unlike him to miss the wide open layup in the first half.
I was very impressed with his defense and hope he brings the same today, no doubt he will.

I was about to crush Terrell (done nothing and can't guard anyone all of a sudden) and Akele (does nothing ever). But then Akele grabs a big board and Terrell nails a big shot. OK then.
