When's the last time Dowtin hit a shot? Beside on that last charging call on JT. Only up 15, seems like it should easily be 30. St Joes is decimated and not good. Jarvis continues to make plays

URI needs to get its Sh!t together. 5 fouls before the under 16 is just sloppy.

We keep making horrible pass after horrible pass...into the interior of the defense.
I think Jarvis may get his starting job back.

Remember when Dowtin couldn't miss?

Ditto. Makes some of the worst turnovers, consistently, I have ever seen from a quality player

Funny the announcer just said that St Joe's this year has been brutal from the line shooting only 63.0% and last in the A10

I thought that we were worse than that but I looked it up and we are 63.1%. So must have been Garrett's 12-12 that got us out of the cellar by .1%

I'm curious to see what Martelli has to say after the game. As an elder statesman of the league, it would be nice if he pumped our tires a little bit, but he's such a petty snake who knows what he is capable of saying.

lol I wasn't complaining! Just making an observation - actually I thought it was pretty complimentary. If you play a good enough floor game to win by 20 on the road on a night where you couldn't hit the road side of a barn, that's a good floor game.

Laysaard still scoreless.
We should've taken the last shot.
Like why not?
Give a walk on another shot or Mike.
Interesting that Berry wasn't put in.

Easy W.
7-2 on the road in the A-10.

Always good to hold a team under 50.

20 wins

Keep rollin.
Probably could've won by thirty again, but we'll all take it.

Now we need some bubble teams to lose tonight!

Played everybody tonight I think.......oops no Berry? Bet he's happy.....

Dowtin hitting the freshman wall? Good thing JG is back and playing well.

EC? Who knows? But a performance like that against a quality opponent and we're toast.

4-26 from 3.....uglyyyyyyyy........but all of a sudden we're beasts from the line.....

We would drive a shrink crazy.

EC has morphed into Biggie Minnis on offense. Outstanding in the open court, but totally lost and a turnover machine in the half court.

And his defense sucks. He was scored on all night tonight. He probably gave up 20-25% of SJU's points.

I seriously think he's playing not to get hurt and that's when you get hurt. In the VCU game, when he didn't dive for that loose ball, I immediately thought that, but tried to think of an alternative reason like not leaving the opposing basket wide open in case of a breakaway, but that happened anyway. Those lack of effort plays on 50/50 balls and his offensive style change have convinced me.

Good win at a place where URI has heavily struggled. Dan has a plethora of coaching decisions to now make like if Garrett gets the start, what to do about EC's minutes, and weather or not he wants to try to incorporate CT more. Lets not forgot the potential CT had before his injury ridden season. He very well could make or break us come the A10 tournament.

Our starters were 1-18 from 3 PT stripe, last game against SJU we hit 16 threes. Such is life.
Jarvis looking better, more confident, only can be a good thing. SJU was so bad it's tough to take much from this one.
Survive and advance.

Jarvis is being helped by being fresh......not worn down like some might be getting.....JD?

That could pay nice dividends coming up.

Anyway, after Sat. they all get 5 full days to get ready for the A10's.

I don't think anybody's ever gotten pissed when a walk on has taken the last shot.
I think that level of sportsmanship is bs.
Like why does it have to be a big deal if some guys who never get to play are allowed by their coach to get a shot up at the end of a game like that.
I think it's better to let the walk ons and bench warmers get as much playing time as they can get.

Always great to beat St. Joe's, especially at Hawk Hill.
Lousy game, though.
Dowtin, Terrell, and EC were no shows.
EC got his points, on 28% shooting.
It's not often you see a starter shoot as many bricks as he does.
The three of them put up enough to build a house
for one of the Three Little Pigs.
15% from 3?
Hassan came to play. So did Iverson.
Looks like Jarvis Garrett picked a great time to get back.
He played with confidence and energy.
4 assists, 3 steals, 1 turnover.
Rambone, how could Dowtin be gassed, when he only became a starter
9 games or so ago?
The only guy who averages 30 minutes on this team, is Terrell.
20 wins, and on a hot streak.
On to Davidson and Senior Night!

Dowtin has struggled shooting recently and Jarvis is looking more and more healthy.

However, we've won 8 out of 10, I'd keep starting Dowtin, even if Jarvis plays more minutes (which I think he eventually will.)

And will someone PLEASE tell me why EC seems so disinterested 95% of the time?

Constantly disappears, then out of nowhere he'll have a between the legs step back jumper where he looks like an NBA prospect (like tonight in the corner in the second half.) Such a confusing player....

I was the making the exact same thing :D

We just set a URI record with the 7 A10 road wins
We have depth on the bench ready and waiting
Starting guards went 5-22 FG and 1-15 on threes but 7-7 FTs :D
Again our big men play solid with Martin and Iverson combing for 9-16 FG, 5-6 FTs, 16 rebounds, 2 blocks and 23 points and not fouling out
Bench a solid night
Team with 14-15 FTs = 93.3% :D :D
We outrebounded our opponent again 39-26
Won in assists 16-10
They shot 9-22 FTs so we have avoided the cellar for ft shooting this conference season :o :o

Defense was tough. Favored by 8 won by 19 and we all know we can play much better than that.

We will have to play better on Saturday - Davidson is dangerous

Wish we had the Richmond game Back.
Can SLU beat Richmond at Richmond Saturday? Please?
VCU coming back at Dayton with 7 minutes left

Rod, not that JD is gassed, just that most freshmen who play as much as he has, have some kind of slump or wall they hit.

Not really a physical thing I guess, but a combination of factors?

Of course most of our guys have had stretches of good play followed by bad, and visa versa.....

ramster, wish we could have Dayton and Fordham back.....we would most likely be in with those 2 as wins.....I know if if if......
