In all seriousness losing a game like this should be grounds for termination.

Yes, that is another issue entirely!

Is E.C. Matthews the most overrated player in the history of Rhode Island basketball? I'm not saying it because of tonight, I never saw what others apparently see in him. NBA? Not a chance.

Dawan Robinson was better.

These announcers discussing whether we would take the chance and keep EC in the game with three fouls. You mean the EC that went scoreless the whole first half, against Fordham?

Metro Rams help defense shutting down JT dribble drive....

Well scouted by Fordham not gonna get beat by 1 on 1 play. If our shooters don't step up to create some space that door is gonna stay shut.

How many big shots at the end of games did Robinson hit? I can think of 3 games specifically that he either won or hit huge shots to help win games in the final minute. He basically beat an NCAA tournament team in Charlotte in 2003 by himself with huge 3's at the end of regulation.

When E.C. Matthews is taking a big shot in the final minute it's usually hurried up with plenty of time left to take a good shot.

Not one person on this board would shoot a lower FT %, no matter your age and even so out of breath you could barely stand up. 3-9? REALLY?

I can see with seconds left in the game, that's just choking. But with 12 minutes left? HOW???

It's watching film that's for sure.

We are 10 field goals better than these other Rams.

Lifeless on offense.

JG might be asked to do more than he expected tonight....Dowtin is wilting on the Fordham help D completely stymied so far.

Back door baseline wide open, maybe JG will see it...

This is silly. Who hasn't been critical of Hurley at some point this season? That isn't the point. Overall, the team has had a disappointing season but we are at the end of February and they control their own destiny. So while the coach deserves criticism for this first half and for some other things during the season, it's just a matter of perspective that you don't call to fire a coach because of a bad half, or a bad last 30 seconds or a bad game. I'm not predicting this, but if URI wins the second half by 20, wins their next 7 games, goes to the tournament and upsets somebody, you'll still want to fire the coach because of a bad first half against Fordham or not winning at Houston? To me, just let all the data accumulate then assess where you're at instead of having a knee jerk reaction to everything that happens.

I would stop watching.....but I can't.....it's like you know what's coming and you have this morbid curiosity to find out......

I'm going to Florida next week and will forget they are playing....thank goodness.

Guys, this is the kind of game where if they lose....this will open some eyes big time in the administration.....

And even if they win, it should also.

TP, they've had more than just a bad first half tonight....what about Richmond, LaSalle, and other bad halves and games they've played?

And all of the close losses making the same mistakes like they're doing tonight?

And the FT's? It's beyond bad, and getting worse....and you think they are going to turn this around on a dime?

If you still think so, then you might be the only one left here that does. Even ramster....and that's saying something.

The Rhody Rams, apparently unable to consistently hit treys or foul shots in this game, continues to struggle against Fordham, with the game knotted with 7:55 left to play.

If we lose this, and anybody continues with the "what if" game....they should be terminated. Just joking, but.....

Our RPI might go high enough to keep us out of the NIT......would be fitting.

The eye test people must be having fun with this. We fail on all counts.

Team Rhody continues to watch the game slip away from them.

With 3:40 to go, Fordham, who has not won in the Ryan Center since 2007, now leads by five.
