THE EARLY LINE URI vs SLU

Unread post by luke »

The early line on this game is URI - 15. That seems very high, considering
it is a road game for the Rams and SLU is generally much better at home. I
would be surprised if URI is able to cover, though I think they will win.

One other note: Hassan Martin is listed as out for the game.

I think that's a function of our defense against their offense. There's a good chance they don't get 60 points.

That's not a huge surprise, but who's listing him as out? Is that coming from Koch or the school?

Saint Louis has been beat at home by some bad teams. Ball St who is ranked 181 on kenpom beat them by 21. We should be able to cover but road conference games are always tough. Under Hurley we've only won two road conference games by 15 or more, two years ago at George Mason by 15 and last year at La Salle by 17.

Although this SLU team may be one of the worst a10 teams in a long time so I could see us winning by 20 or more.

Rpi has URI by 16.3 points with a 92% chance of winning the game - in line with a 15 point initial spread

The line has dipped to URI - 14 to - 14 1/2. Still don't expect them to cover.

URI should win by 15, we're much better and they have a significant injured player out I believe? This ain't your fathers Billikens.

Good thing we don't have any significant injured players out!

That would be great...have KI stay out of foul trouble and be adequate on the boards...best set starts with the ball to him at the foul line (provided head and hands are in the game - unfortunately....)

The line has moved back up to URI - 14 1/2 to 15. The player injury for SLU
may make it difficult for them to score as he is their top scorer and they are
already offensively challenged.

You lost taking William and Mary and now again taking Saint Louis. This team is showing they can go deep which means if they get a big lead they can expand that lead against the opponents bench.

That's ok there will be a few games where URI wins and doesn't cover those are the ones that make me doubly happy

Guess I wa wrong this time. The Rams finally covered a spread with a vengeance. Iverson had a better game and Langevine dominated the boards.
