To be fair to us as fans, we got excited for this season thinking EC was playing this year. Not a shot at that poor kid, but who could have expected this?

That's just absolutely demoralizing and crushing. That's the one game we had to have. Doesn't matter what the refs did. Again, EC and KI were just awful. Cost us the last two games, without a doubt. This is an NIT team if those guys can't be better, and it hurts because Hassan is so great and deserves better from his teammates. I was really happy with what we got from Akele and Thompson. Terrell was a warrior like always. Garrett struggled but gave a great effort. We can't win without EC being EC and without getting something from KI. He was a negative, his +/- had to be atrocious tonight.

Check the Newport bridge on the way home, a lot of people jumping off that wagon. As bad as this hurts bc it's to that F'ing school, I'm going to stay positive and keep having hope. A lot of could of, would of will be said but this team needs a gut check and come back to life. Maybe too many big heads. Something has to change. This team is to talented and good for that proformance. Everyone needs a gut check players, coaches,fans.
Keep your heads up there is a lot of basketball that needs to be played!

No offense to anyone on this team but Terrell is the only clutch player we have and should have had that shot 100 out of 100 times. I don't think I've ever seen EC hit the rim on a game at the buzzer and I'm a huge EC guy.

But it is important to keep in perspective. Rivalry game and providence was at home. Still a long season ahead and doesn't really mean much although I'm sure the meltdown is on for some.

It is the same old same old. It will be interesting to see how this team responds in the next game vs ODU. The Monarchs are a good team. Then the game at Houston. We may be fortunate to get one win in this tough four game stretch. Don't fret though, all the losses will be exceedingly close.

The A-10 is really down this year and URI will not have a gaudy OOC record. They might have to nearly run the table in conference or win the tourney for the NCAA. This season is not quite looking like THE YEAR right now.

Team has no balls. Up 7 in the second half and lose by three. I am done wasting my time on this team. Football season and then on to baseball.

Only silver lining to this game for me was that I was able to profit from it, the line was nuts with PC a home dog. We've also had our first official elimination from the Season Record prediction.. with our next loss 2 more will be eliminated and its only Dec 3rd. Wow, going to be a long season

And as expected, this team found a way to lose again. where is four McGlynn when we need him ?
Matthews was supposed to be an upgrade, but right now I would rather have McGlynn. I guess we
can start lowering our expectations for this team again. i was afraid this game would play out
exactly as it did. The only clutch player they have apparently is Terrell. Sop much for the NCAA
tournament, this team is certainly not good enough right now and I have sincere doubts that
they will improve enough to get there. I will go to games and enjoy them for their own value
without having any dreams of any Cinderella run or anything else. So disappointing.

IMO the Valpo loss was much worse. PC is simply a better program than we URI fans want to admit. Better conference. Much better coach.

No doubt but it's getting late early, as they say. I'd feel better if the A10 was as strong as some past years and there were several games to notch some wins. Need Cincy to be really good and then get to like 13-3 in conference or, obviously, win the A10 Tourney. I wasted too much breath saying Hurley was a perfect hire, a good recruiter, and a wonderful face of a program. But, I was always nervous about him in tight games. Let's face it, even the Terrell plus one three point play was just him bulldozing in and don't lie if you didn't think that might have been called a charge. How many seconds were on the clock when EC fired a 25 footer? Three or four? Terrible. I really thought this team was going to be good enough to win these games by multiple possessions so that took it out of the equation. Need EC to put the knee hobgoblins in the rearview mirror (not easy to do if you shredded your knee only 12 months ago). But, he has to be a force. Still hoping. 4-0 in the next four is a must.

.....still waiting to see a play in a half court set from this coaching staff at crunch time. Not motion, not isolation like JT's last score - a play, a real play.

Not even going to bring up our last two end of game possessions with a fair chance to tie both games.
