Our game is at 2:30.
The students are still gone.
The Pats are on tv at 4:30.
What will the actual attendance be?

3000-3500. No students, team pulling more el foldos. Bad opponent.

Possible messy weather too.

Perfect storm for poor attendance.

Another thing: Don't expect a high scoring game against LaSalle.

See what they did against Dayton, a team that likes to play uptempo?

The Explorers held the ball. Cuts down the number of possessions. Puts more pressure on us to score.

Probably makes us play slow too. Just what we need. Not.

Our advantage is that we're home. We need to jump on them early, and get them out of that slowdown by putting a lot of defensive pressure on them.

Otherwise, they could hang around until the end. And we all know what that means......

4,000 if the weather holds up. Saturday afternoon actually seems to be a decent draw day/time.

Not too long ago, it seemed like WE were going to be the ranked team, especially before PC.

Now it seems like a million years away, again.

I'm having more fun talking about wins over .500 and attendance than talking about this team. That is a big problem. We need 5* players it seems.

I would like to see Jared T shutdown Price again. JT really shutdown him down last year in a nice effort.

I think JT also put some points on the Explorers.

@TheBlueRam, maybe this team gets a win and gets 1 game over .500 in A10 play?

We need a win. We should win. I just don't trust that coach for Lasalle to let URI just own them for years. He is too good to continue to get beat.

I expect us to come out like gangbusters and beat them by 30.

But, so what?

Means zilch. Nothing. Nada.

What means something is the next game, at GW.

Who here thinks we'll win that game?

Will we continue the maddening slow down game, if we have a lead late?

If so, loss. If we keep the pedal to the metal, and win the game, then maybe there's hope.

To me, that's the only hope.

I won't be there.......my seats will be filled......I will be most happy with scoring first, taking the initial lead and then just go from there......after The Bona start, I have reduced my expectations to easier to chew manageable segments......Go Rhody score first!!!......glad we don't have that stand up til we score thing at the RC.....

105, I'm getting too old for that.

Might fall asleep before we score......

:P

P.S. Also a good thing we don't have a stand up before we score in the last 5 minutes of games.

We would never sit down, might as well walk out.........

We are gonna beat them by 20.... Lose at GW by 6-10 pts and then beat Fordham and St Joes at home and I'm not gonna get excited at all. Even if we play amazing basketball like we did against St. Louis and Richmond. I'll be there though.

I can't buy even the mini plans yet because there always seems to be a conflict with my work schedule.

Maybe we are just in the "falling action" part of the story plot and our hero is on his way to save the day (season). The Fat lady hasn't sang yet, at this point, what's the point of being gloomy about this year?I'm still cheering on the rams GO RHody

You think fans want to feel gloomy? I want to be happy and excited I was again after Richmond. I thought we turned a corner and finally would pick up a good road win I went to the coaches show all pumped up and then what happened? I'm going to go to the games but until they show me they can win a good game on the road (feel like I've said that for 15 years) I'm not going to be happy. Go ahead and flip out about wins over teams at home... I want more.

I think it does seem that way sometimes...and would venture that quite a few agree. I believe there are some that won't be happy unless this team goes undefeated right straight thru the first Monday in April....and then they'll be fussing about the possibility of the coach leaving....

Not for me to judge what's 'ok' and what isn't...people can do what they want, but with everything else happening in an average life, shouldn't sports (something you can only watch...with absolutely ZERO impact) be a pleasure-time diversion? It just doesn't seem healthy to let it have a negative impact on your psyche.

Seems like it should be possible (and would be healthier?) to 'care' without scraping the depths of gloom and despair when 'the team' loses. If they win, awesome! If not, when's the next game? Gloom and misery after losses...doesn't make anyone more or less of a fan. Every team in the A10 has a chance to win the A10 tournament...and that's two months away...run with it. It's not like it influences your paycheck or family (hopefully!)...enjoy what's left and have fun.

Wrong,
the fussing about the Coach Leaving will be well before the National Championship Banner is bestowed upon us. My guess the Coach leaving would start if we get the the Championship Game of the A10.

You are right, but I am an odd duck always ;) not just at games. You would see me cheering just as loudly and passionately as any fan there (student or adult). I jump out of my seat for great plays...I stand and cheer during rallies, sometimes before anyone around me. I yelled out "MISS!" at the top of my lungs in a completely silent gym at St. Joe's when their guy was on the free throw line. (you can kinda hear it at about the 7:30 mark if you have the recording ;) ).

My reaction when Bentil put that shot in at the buzzer was the same as most everyone there...--> surrender cobra with a barely audible "F---" thrown in. That sucked. But, I dwelled on it less afterwards than I would have if they'd won...was pretty much over it by the time I got home (and I live really close by). I'll celebrate the wins with the best of 'em, but not going to spend much time dwelling on the losses. Sports is sposed to be fun and that just seems to defeat the purpose.

Did you graduate from Fordham?
LOL, no, I went to UNH, a school that has NEVER (ever) made the NCAA's, but where the hockey is pretty decent.

We have a lot of non-URI grads posting here, Rod included if I'm not mistaken.

Hopefully, that's ok? I went to one school, but with two going here...a lot more of my $ is going to this one. And, I love college hoops, this team in particular...enough to move from CT, buy season tix and make it to some games on the road as well...

Glad to see about Terrell.

Looks like he got the message.....

He's still an important part of this team going forward.
