Where are you driving from and about how long do you think it will take?
Suggested route or just mapquest?

PS - Seems like there should be charter bus trips for this kind of game...

i am heading there from NYC - 99 miles to Philly. If from RI its 95South to Jersey Turnpike and follow the signs for Camden/Philly.

It always seems that Rhody in some way gets jobbed at St. Joe's nearly every time it plays there. The refs have greatly favored the Hawks at home over the years vs URI. The FT disparity is typically huge (multiples) and wierd fouls like the T on Skinner for taking his jacket off and throwing it on his chair are the norm. What will tomorrow have in store for the Rams?

Well I think Joe DeMeo retired so that is one good thing. You are absolutely right RF1. the officiating at St. Joes has always been
very one sided no matter who St. Joes has played over the years and DeMeo was the number one culprit who always seemed to
show up for St. Joes home games. IMO Rhode Island rarely gets the benefit of calls in any games, even at home. as a Dayton grad,
I watch them all the time too and they at least get even calls and occasionally will get some calls at home, but not Rhode Island.
I am hoping as the program becomes more prominent the refs will give them more of a break. I think that will happen. the officials
always seem to lean toward the better teams as far as I see things.

If Dan can get through this game without a T, he can get through any game. I never like blaming the refs for a loss, but this game is the exception.

The calls made against us in the 2nd half v Richmond were as bad as I have seen in a long time.

Had I been coaching I assure you I would have been tossed !!! 3 calls in a row were blown right in front of me....all plays on the baseline.

I was impressed with the way players and staff dealt with it. Good practice for tomorrow on hawk hill...

Yeah, please , no brian Kersey. But Kersey usually refs the Virginia teams or Davidson because he is from virginia and
loves to help those teams.

This is a nice opportunity to get a win over a currently top 50 RPI team on the road. St. Joes at #45. Would have to assume that would give the Rams a nice boost.

Haven't won there since 2011.
Last year we were coming into our game with them with a similar level of confidence after beating Richmond on the road and looking good really good. Then there was just an utter shit show in Hagan. Would rather not see a repeat.

I haven't watched nearly as much sports over my life as most everyone here, but the worst officiated game I've ever watched in person was certainly last year's home game vs. VCU. Absolutely terrible. I honestly thought that the game was blatantly rigged. EVERY SINGLE close call went against URI, and there were a ton of just outright terrible calls.

Blueram is right.
I pointed out to a couple of people behind me at the
Richmond game, that the cartoon lion Rhody was sitting on his ass
most of the game.
I remember when Rhody was an integral part of the cheer leading
unit.
I talked to someone last year about the flaccid Rhody and was told
he's/she/it is not under the control of the Athletic Dept.
Talk about low energy!

As far as school sponsored road trips around the East Coast,
they had them even in CFL's time.
UMass, Fordham, the Philly games. Some of those were fun.
Not anymore.

Joe, that was another Brian Kersey special against VCU. Kersey always seems to be there for VCU, Richmond and GW.
I guarantee he will be at GW and VCU on the road later this year.

Rod. I remarked about a month ago, that the Ram spent most of his time in the runway talking to the Ramettes. He/she wandered out a couple of times and sat in the end zone. I don't think I've ever seen this Ram out on the floor helping EZ.

Right, there's a mass conspiracy to make bad calls against URI. They've never gotten a call. Every other teams gets all the calls. Even Duquesne and Fordham...the refs definitely want them to win.

You're poo-pooing a general, overarching conspiracy, which nobody is suggesting. What people are suggesting is that there are particular refs and venues that are unfriendly. No sane person would argue that isn't true. Even refs would agree with that.

Things are usually very close. That Steelers Bengals game last night to me was prime example. NFL controls broadcasts and refs.

Play up the narrative of Bengals being punks. Steelers play the same way. Call it in favor of the Steelers. That Shazier hit was not unlike that Williams hit at all.

Then later on Burfict avoids the big hit and still hits Brown. Idk I wouldn't doubt Brown laid down on that one hoping for the flag.

Steelers are snakes. NFL wanted the Roethlisberger Manning matchup. Not the back up Bengal beating Manning. Saves the playoffs ratings.
