Agree I thought Thompson did a very commendable job on Dunn. Just the fact that Hurley would have the freshman, Thompson, cover Dunn at all should say something.NYGFan_Section208 wrote:Could not agree more. Four can shoot it, but not a whole lot else.
CT has more overall game, and a much higher upside.
Good for us.
Remember how he was lost on D not too long ago? And now he was able to slow down Dunn?
Now that's something to build on.

I wonder if Penders will be at the game. This year's Houston's team reminds me of his Houston teams.

I wonder if he had a hand in getting them here.
Saying Four is the best player? Thats what people do. They pick a favorite.
Usually it is according to how you like the game played and the guy's style. Nothing new.

No I was referring to Rambone and Hal Kopp's comments. Not you, we're cool lolTruePoint wrote:Are you talking to me? I definitely never said he can shoot it but not much else. I would be surprised and impressed if we got 5000. This is more of a reason we should have let in more than 1500 students on Saturday - there is a chance the students might show up again if they have a good time, but only 1500 of them got to experience that atmosphere.rambone 78 wrote:I think 5,000 for tonight game....give or take a few.....not great, but OK considering Saturday's result.
If we had won, I would have said 6,000.

Interestingly the 5 kids sitting next to me in 203 all said they were students who couldnt get tickets so they had their parents buy them online that afternoon. That's kinda encouraging.RhowdyRam02 wrote:1501, I found a student in need of a ticket.TruePoint wrote:I would be surprised and impressed if we got 5000. 21 points for a team who averages 90... solid defensive half by the rams

Shooting into that empty seat background is going to be a potential problem 2nd half.

Houston goes to a zone defense and URI looks completely lost on the floor, I dont know why teams dont use zone defense on us more. So going to a zone defense Houston keeps players out of foul trouble and gets back into the game. I guess its ok to play a zone defense once in a while.

If you play zone for a couple of possessions every now and then, you're basically going zone the whole game and that just can't happenShinze88 wrote:Houston goes to a zone defense and URI looks completely lost on the floor, I dont know why teams dont use zone defense on us more. I know that Four is off again tonight, but you have to have him in there against this zone. That is why he is at URI.Shinze88 wrote:Houston goes to a zone defense and URI looks completely lost on the floor, I dont know why teams dont use zone defense on us more. I think they were doing a little offense/defense with Four when they could. Houston's quickness has been a problem for him on defense.

Re: Game 9: Houston at the Ryan Center 12/8 7pm on OSN
Yes that is what they were doing but if there is no whistle you can't get him back on the floor for offense. I think in this game situation you have to just play for the free throws. If you make them they can't come back.adam914 wrote:I think they were doing a little offense/defense with Four when they could. Houston's quickness has been a problem for him on defense.

We need to get butts in those seats behind the basket. Why can't EZBuckets invite folks to move down at half time? Like shooting the ball into a black hole.
