Feel bad for Jimmy Christian. Was Preston wise to get off of that sinking ship or what?

In Sunday A-10 action:

* VCU got into a 14 point hole in the first half and dug out to finally get a short-lived lead with six minutes left before losing a close one to Florida State, 76- 71.

* Davidson loses their first game as the Wildcats are routed at UNC, 98-65.

In games involving URI OOC opponents:

* Wagner beats American U., 55-48.

It's starting to become pretty clear that we can compete with the top of the A10 even without EC.

Now let's go do it!

Not so sure what's clear.
Yes, the talent is there to have a decent-good season.
My question involves consistency.
We've seen some low energy games so far, which
is surprising for a Hurley coached team.
Will they show up ready to play, buzzer to buzzer every night?
Tuesday will tell us plenty about this team.
Feel sorry for themselves or beat an unbeaten Houston team?
Same goes for the rest of the non-conference schedule.

yeah Rod, that's my concern too.

The talent is there. I shouldn't have questioned that.

The emergence of CT has given me hope that we can still have a good season, maybe a shot at the Dance.

Guys can't take games off. We know not everybody is going to have a great game at once. Well maybe once in a while?

They have to bring their best effort each game. Houston will be telling, that's for sure.

We are not good enough to beat good teams without playing well. Our margin for error is small.

The Houston game will show a lot. Can they carry over the intensity and focus from the Providence game, despite what will surely be a less buzzing building? I could see them coming out on fire because they're upset about how the last game ended, or I could see them coming out flat because they are disappointed about how the last game ended. I think it will tell us a lot about how they will approach the rest of the season.

That makes me smile. BC gets what it deserves.

Attendance: 1,327 at Conte Forum

Check out the atmosphere at the ACC school!

I'll bet the ACC is really happy about the situation....not

The Fordham of the ACC?

Actually, Fordham might be a mid pack A10 team this season......

I wonder if we will be offering them another 2-1 series giving them two home games. Many Rhody fans think it is a real honor for URI to be able to play an ACC team and think an uneven series with a team like BC is a great deal.

Boston College is supposed to visit PC tonight, but it seems up to 10 of their players have gastrointestinal distress from what medical staff believe is E-Coli.

Andy Katz reports the game could be straight up cancelled.

My theory is that the team spontaneously and simultaneously got sick when reviewing game tape from their Umass Lowell loss at home in front of 1300 fans.

In defense of BC losing to UMASS Lowell the food poisoning was already hitting with two starters out for food poisoning and one hurt his ankle just before the game, BC was forced to start 5 freshmen.
Sell your Chipolle stock if you haven't already.
