Learn to read. I never said anything like that. Since you brought it up; McGrath and Austiin had spotless records when they arrived on campus. Can you say the same about Holton?

I'm sure you can grasp the fact that there is a difference between a kid with a spotless background committing a transgression once on campus and actually going out and actively recruiting a felon.

BTW, either of those examples you alluded to actually get charged?

No clue who scorpio2 is.
ATP goes there once in a blue moon to make nice.
There's some decent information, and good discussions on your board sometimes,
provided by the non haters, who actually like basketball.
Oh, and Holton was recruited by a former coach, just like Greedy Peterson was
recruited by a former coach.

A lot of players at a lot of schools have had juvenile justice issues that are sealed when they are 18....even at both pc and Rhode Island...

Besides being a hypocrite, sean is an intellectual cipher, but he is better than peeps who has a dubious value system in addition to being a hypocrite. What can you say about a person who spends time on a rivals board and relishes any adversity, big or small, that URI and its supporters may have and delights in "pouring salt in wounds". Not a class act certainly, but then what can you expect from a person with a Dominican education - I guess maybe Tomas de Torquemada??

We have a forward thinking administration now, expect more. And also donate more so we can continue to do so.

I'm all for switching from Adidas to Nike. Nike will go a loooong way in recruiting. Also, hopefully Dan requested a permanent, bigger bar in The Ryan Center!

IDK, but at least they didn't make us wear those terrible shorts they made their other programs wear. Guess we weren't a high priority for them. Fine by me.

As a reminder, this is what the previous revised contract added. Nothing with the coach's salary changed (base or bonuses), which was appropriate given when it happened. The only money change was what would be provided if he was fired. What Hurley would have owed the school if he left did not change (250,000 if it happened now or within the next year, then it goes down).

The additions were all programmatic ones: 25,000 more for the assistants combined salary (to 400,000); office renovations; making a good faith effort to separate the basketball program from the university's agreement with Adidas; more charter flights (4); and training table.

My guess there was an onerous penalty if they terminated the contract too early.
