Dayton is NOT during Christmas break. BIG TIME.

Wow only 4 games that out of towners have to rely on streaming, the times they are a changing. 6 games on ESPN networks is huge.

Man thats insane, I didnt even catch that. Score one for us!

That February slate does look tough, but this is a season where we should be ready for it. Going to be battle tested come March, the way it should be.

Eight o'clock start against American. Women open at 5 p.m.
Two games in January when the students are on campus. Hoping this year it will not be a big factor with a successful November and December.

Four ESPN games at home should really help draw large student turnouts. I would think the weekend night games will be particularly raucous. The Dayton game late in the season could be really special since most will be picking these two teams to win the league.

One item of note in the 2015/16 A10 Schedule press release is that ESPN is going to broadcast a five-week Friday night prime time A10 Game of the Week.

SBU fans are speculating that our game with them Wednesday 01-13-16 might be played in Rochester instead of Olean. They usually play a game during break there and the date of our game makes the most sense for the Blue Cross Arena. Regardless of site, we get a break playing the Bonnies between semesters with no students. Even more so if it is not at the Reilly Center on campus where they are very tough.

Is this a record for most ESPN games in a season? Also - by my count that's 18 nationally televised games. Wow.

Maybe this means a chance for legit accolades for everyone on this team.

Yeah those games usually end up getting carried on some of the regional sports networks. I've always been able to find them somewhere.

Last year WJAR picked up the Rhody FB ASN games and ran them on their digital subchannel that carries MeTV. Its 10.2 over the air and in the mid-late 400s on Verizon Fios in SD. If you're close enough in CT to get the Prov channels maybe you'll get it...? NESN does pick up ASN games, but they've never carried the Rhody ones yet (DISCRIMINATION!)...although here's hoping. That would be the best case.

Also keep in mind that any COX produced games are not yet known. I would suspect that they might do some early OOC home games along with at Brown.

I ranted about it earlier as this is now the 2nd year in a row that the staff failed to schedule the maximum number of games. I generally like the mix of opponents on this year's schedule and am thankful that there is no non D1 team as last season. I however am disappointed we may have missed another opportunity for a win.

Well, no non-D1 team on the under-maximized schedule this year. Maybe next year a FULL schedule with a chance for a win against a QUALITY OPPONENT.

Goodman lists Valparaiso in his "5 Mid-majors to Watch" (btw- E. Victor Nickerson is an outstanding name)-

2. Valparaiso Crusaders
When Horizon League defensive player of the year Vashil Fernandez was granted another year by the NCAA over the summer, it meant coach Bryce Drew and the Crusaders returned everyone except for seldom-used reserve David Chadwick (2.3 PPG) from a team that won a school-record 28 games and went to the NCAA tournament last season. Alec Peters (16.8 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 47 percent success rate on 3-pointers) is the Crusaders star, but he has plenty of help from a supporting cast that includes seniors Darien Walker, Keith Carter, Fernandez and E. Victor Nickerson, as well as junior Tevonn Walker. Drew took his team to Canada and raved about the play of LSU transfer Shane Hammink, who is the team's most athletic player. "I'm not sure if he'll start or not, but he'll play -- a lot," Drew said.

Cleveland State is still working on putting their OOC schedule together.

Want another Cleveland State piece of information? Kaza Keane transferred out earlier this summer.

Has anyone heard anything about our game 03-05-16 vs Fordham being moved out of Rose Hill Gym? A Fordham fan on their board claims he has read that the URI game at Fordham might be played at MSG as part of a doubleheader. The other game would be Providence at St. John's which is currently scheduled for 12:30pm on that date in MSG. URI does not list a start time for our game which would mean things are not yet entirely definitive.
