I just wanted to start this because that title is so fucking beautiful.

The amount of tequila still in my system, and the amount of rhody fans in Brooklyn are making life awesome.

No matter what happens tonight...this team has exceeded my expectations, and I am fucking THRILLED that we even have this opportunity.

I know there's usually a scouting report here, so:

They're well coached and move the ball extremely well.
They don't have a guy over 6'6.
They had a grinder with St Bonaventure.
They're not at UD arena.

Fuck them. This is the Hurley Era. We win shit now. Go Rhody.

Not to harp on the obvious, but to win today:

1. Rebound better. Giving up 2nd chance opportunities will not work against Dayton.
2. Stay out of foul trouble. If Hassan Martin is missing the majority of the first half again it will be very tough.
3. They cannot keep missing as many free throws as they have been.
4. That being said, I loved the gameplan last night of driving to the basket time and time again. Dayton is not as deep as GW so if they can get Dayton into foul trouble they'll be in good shape.
5. Keeping the fouls down will help limit Minnis and Reischel's minutes. They cannot beat a team of Dayton's quality with those two playing extended minutes, particularly Reischel. Dayton is 6 deep and for URI to be as effective as possible they need to be 6 deep with the others only seeing limited time.
6. Calm down. Playing out of control could have cost them last night's game and will cost them today's game if they're giving extra free throws from technical fouls to Dayton. I love Hurley but he's going to get himself ejected one of these days if he doesn't relax.

Have to stop the dayton fast break off made buckets by us. No celebrating get back on D immediately. I'd love to see us screw with them and go to the zone at some point for a possession or two if it works stay in it.

This game is going to be a war. I expect URI to wear Dayton down just as they wore down GW.
As long as they don't get behind early. I think they can maintain a lead in the second half early on,
then pull away and win by 6-8 points

I think Rhody was a new person inside the costume.
Dayton will NOT do whatever they want, like they did in
Dayton!
Very different team outside of their home arena.
For the umpteenth time, it would be nice to keep Hassan
and Terrell out of early foul trouble.
This seems to have become the norm, rather than the exception,
unfortunately.
Someone needs to control Pollard. That kid gets better by the game.
If we defend the 3 like we did last night, we should win.
Dayton got taken down to the final minute, so they won't be fresh.
Should be interesting.
I hope VCU beats the crap out of Davidson and Kolonoscopy.

I'm with you Rod. Davidson has become my favorite team to hate. For whatever reason they get every call and every break

I hope we win the tourney and make the dance (duh!). It's tough when you get this close...you may think you'll be better next year, but you never know...look at Nebraska and GW. You need to seize these opportunities, because you never know what the future holds!
