I agree with you Ramster, of all the teams left WVU is one of a couple that has a chance to make it a game. They are tough, big and Huggins isnt going to let them be intimidated by UK. That said, it remains to be seen if Kentucky can be pressed...

Notre Dame's ball movement tonight is incredible, all started by the catalyst and arguably the best PG left in the tournament in Jerian Grant. Wichita's defense is no joke, and they're making it look easy. So many wide open shots because of the constant movement. Notre Dame has the high level offense and 4 guys on the floor almost at all times that can knock down the 3. Wouldn't be shocked to see them give Kentucky a game on Saturday.

That is ridiculous. Kentucky's length and defensive fundamentals make it near impossible to get an open look. Couple that with a mediocre shooting team that isn't causing any turnovers with their press.....and this about to get ugly.

Hopefully X and Zona give us a good one tonight, the Kentucky game looks like a 1 vs. 16 seed game. Although, if you can't score the ball you can't really set up your press the way you'd like. West Virginia can't hit the broad side of a barn tonight, what a disaster. You have to be able to hit from outside to just have a shot to beat Kentucky, plain and simple. It's why I think Notre Dame can give them a game.

WVU was never in the game. Kentucky is dominating on defense and they shot well too.
Holton was the leading rebounder in the game with 11 and 8 of those on the offensive glass but as oftentimes this year he fouled out after playing only 26 minutes. 0-3 on 3FG :-)

???????????????????????????? Arizona did that……...

As for Wisconsin nice comeback. Talk about squandering the game. A typical Roy Williams Production.

Also, 'tis a shame BC Jr. went Irish and isn't part of the URI Resurrection Program.

As was pointed out during his Senior Year of High School, I don't care how tall or short a ballplayer is, if he's a BALLPLAYER.

BC Jr. is a BALLPLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, no more of that super powerful NBE.
Not sure how hard we recruited Colson.
I like Wisconsin. They don't seem to rattle.
Nobody does less with more than Roy Williams.
Arizona was saved by TJ McConnell's great play, last night.
Wildcats didn't look like a top five team.

I don't anybody beating Kentucky the rest of the way.

Duke might have the best chance, if they play their best, and hope Kentucky misses shots.

Or bricks their FT's.

Otherwise, hand them the trophy.

Kentucky could have not taken a single shot in the second half and they still would have won. Hey kid from WVU, you don't poke a sleeping bear.

Biggest blowout since back in the 90's when we lost by 40 to UNC.
I still think Wisconsin could give KY a battle.
They almost beat them last year. They're a much smarter
and better coached team than UWVA.
Very nice of Cal, with a 40 point lead, to put his scrubs in
with 40 seconds to go. Real class.

Great teams have been beaten before.
Phi Slamma Jamma, the '92 UNLV, and the Ewing Georgetown team
was supposedly unbeatable.
They lost. Anything's possible.

Wisconsin/Arizona is a tossup.

In today's games, Gonzaga should have no problem with UCLA.

Michigan St. should beat Oklahoma. Same for Duke over Utah.

Not sure about Louisville.

Saw Louisville in life and death against Georgia Tech.
Couldn't do anything on offense and got crushed on the boards.
Like Izzo, Pitino gets his team rolling in the NCAAs.

The number of good teams that GT had beaten until the last couple minutes, and then choked away was mind boggling.

Gregory is very fortunate that GT owes so much money on their contracts, that they didn't fire him.

Sorry, but no. just no. This wasnt some early year tune up against NJIT, this was a Sweet Sixteen game.

Regarding Kentucky, they can be beaten. (They still may go undefeated however.) In my opinion...

1) If UK plays their best and opponent lays an egg (ie WVU), then UK rolls in a blowout.
2) If UK plays their best and opponent plays their best, then UK still wins.
3) If UK plays poorly and opponent plays poorly, then UK still wins.
4) If UK plays poorly and opponent plays their best, then UK could lose. Depends on the opponent but it's possible in this scenario...Wisconsin, Arizona, Duke, may have the horses to do this. (I don't see Notre Dame as good enough defensively or on the boards.)

And I hope UK loses.

Agreed. If you want to be dumb and a classless douche and "guarantee" a win against them, then you deserve everything.

Should've kept the starters in and beat them by 50. I hate huggy bear, I hate Holton, and I'm so glad Kentucky shut them the fuck up. Can't stand WVU, can't stand unfounded cockiness, it takes a lot for me to root for Kentucky to win, but I wanted Kentucky to embarrass them. I'm happy they obliged.

Seriously though, does anyone else think KU was just toying with everyone the whole year? That this was the first game they actually tried in? Don't think any one plays them within 10 the rest of the way.

Once more, Tom Izzo gets to the Elite 8, with a less than

Seniors and guard play won for Sparty tonight. When Trice/Dawson/Valentine are rolling like they did the 2nd half tonight, they can beat anyone minus Kentucky. Looking for Izzo to improve that "turnaround game" record to 21-4 on Sunday.

Gonzaga versus Duke in an Elite Eight match-up in Houston assures that one private school will make it to the Final Four. Out of the 68 teams in the NCAA field only 20 were private schools as the state schools continue to dominate the tournament.

Saw it coming back on Thursday, +11 spread was a layup tonight. For the record, Brey's decision to not go 2 for 1 there at the end did them in IMO. What a game, it's why this tournament is the greatest in sports.

Connaughton, 16/10, was on fire down the strech versus the Shockers. Not so much last night (8/9) and you need every cylinder firing to beat the Cats. Zach Auguste great offence’ was unfortunately offset by Towns inside. Nice to watch Calipari squirm a bit though.

Kentucky didn't miss a shot from the field in the last 10 minutes of the game.

If they did, they would have lost. Notre Dame had a great game plan, and it almost worked.

Watched last night's Wisconsin/Arizona game. That 2nd half, what a 3 pt. show by Wisconsin. That more than offset Arizona's edge inside.

Those 2 games were played on a very high level, with great shooting and also great FT shooting.

Shows how far we have to go, to even think of competing at that level.
