Very well deserved, could be argued he deserved POW instead of ROW -- he was simply outstanding.

Re: Jared Terrell - A-10 ROW
Great achievement. Means even more that it directly led to two tough wins when EC was less than his normal self.

Re: Jared Terrell - A-10 ROW
Dan loves these guys. It must be such a relief to just work on basketball stuff without any of the other personnel challenges that he's faced since he arrived.

JT! If they consider anything other than offense he should be a shoe in for the all rookie team. He plays defense as good as any in this league. And maybe the country.

This got me to thinking that we should be very well represented on the all-defensive team. Jared could be one of them.PeterRamTime wrote:JT! Hell at this point the all defensive team should be Jarvis, Terrell, EC, TJ and Hassan!Billyboy78 wrote:This got me to thinking that we should be very well represented on the all-defensive team. I know. I admit I haven't studied all the PGs defensively in the league. Obviously Weber was the best. But I can't imagine any of the other ones being better than Jarvis. I love watching him play defense. Always pressuring, being a pest stabbing at the ball and he moves his feet so well. He and Terrell are going to be a great defensive tandem in the backcourt in this league. They already are.

Little Anthony at Richmond is pretty good.
Maybe Jarvis can mess him up Sunday?

Re: Jared Terrell - A-10 ROW
That will be a tough matchup for Jarvis. X's combination of quickness and height really bothered Anthony last year. Jarvis won't have that advantage, Anthony is a senior, elevates well on his jumper and is a jet. Would be very impressive if Jarvis was able to contain him.

Re: Jared Terrell - A-10 ROW
Seriously?! Dan, Danny, even Daniel. Definitely not Bobby.
"Not bad. Terrell isn't even one of the clear-cut best freshmen in the A-10 ... yet. But maybe February becomes his month. If he plays this well, Bobby Hurley's team will be in the NCAAs. No doubt. When you help your team stay afloat near the top of a league race, shoot it well and contribute in myriad ways, you'll always get a good look for FOTW."

Not sure if intentional but funny.kal-65 wrote:BILL WORLANDER OF CBS SPORTS ,BASKETBALL WRITER HAS NAMED JARED TERRELL AS NATIONAL ROW
Matt Norlander wrote the article. Dan Hurley coaches Rhode Island. Bobby Hurley's team might make the tournament, but Jared Terrell will not be on it.
Everybody up to speed now? Good.
Edit: They fixed it. Stand down, Rhody fans.

Re: Jared Terrell - A-10 ROW
Is it me or do we get more National Pub than Local? Sure seems that way. This week alone we got NY Post, AP, this CBS hit.....versus an after-thought mention on Projo.

Re: Jared Terrell - A-10 ROW
Hopefully stuff like this will take the focus off of EC, and force people to not double team either one of them. That might be the spark that gets EC going down the stretch, that and the 8 days of rest.

Re: Jared Terrell - A-10 ROW
"Terrell, who took home Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors as well, put up 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals in Rhode Island's road win over Fordham and big home win against George Washington. The Rams are now 15-5 and on pace to make the NCAA Tournament. He shot it well (55 percent) and was 10 for 11 from the foul line.

Stuff like this makes me think if we get on the bubble, we will get invited.
Baron was the last guy that the committee would give a nod to and let in. Dan Hurley has pull.

I don't see a Baron type of collapse here. Problem is a lack of quality wins. The VCU game hurts.

UMASS too. I hope the crowds keep coming. The RC is a great place with 7,000 people.

Re: Jared Terrell - A-10 ROW
Let's not forget that the 2nd half of the league schedule is more difficult. Also, we don't know the status of EC's foot and Gil's knee. Maybe the coaches show will provide some info on the injuries.
